We arrived by bike and those could be stored safely in the garden as well. Room was good, had everything needed for a nights stay. The host gentleman was very nice, and the breakfast was also delicious, with decent amount of options. We especially liked the funny looking omlette art, and soft eggs :)

Hotel Schachner is located in the town of Maria Taferl, close to the basilica. It offers views of the Alps and the Danube River. Where to start? Amazing location with beautiful views. We could just sit and enjoy the views. Tasty food, we had breakfasts and dinners and the food was just great, rich variations, tasty vegetables and fruits, fine wine.. Staff was helpful, whatever we needed, they tried to help. There were a lot of small things, like you don't need to clean your room, you get the present, but all the small things make it to wonderful experience. Swimming pool was next to the second building of the hotel, just some meters to walk, there was refreshment, table tennis, bedminton.. We will come again, definitely.

Hotel Schloss Dürnstein enjoys a unique location on a rock high above the Danube River, at the heart of the Wachau World Heritage Site, offering a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the Danube and... We loved absolutely everything! The property and location are breathtakingly beautiful and the service was outstanding. We were only staying for one night but were treated like the most special of guests.

Excellent B&B run by a lovely family in a great location. Everything was ideal for a short getaway, especially the possibility of free bike rental to get to the nearby town of Ybbs an der Donau. Overall, we were very satisfied.
