This was our first time in Franschhoek and we could not dream for a better place to stay. Everything here is well maintained and the team is paying attention to every little details. Vanessa is a super host and very passionate. This is a place we will want to come back and will for sure recommend to all.

Situated amongst vineyards, the Vrede en Lust manor house dates back to 1688 and has been converted into elegant cottages with open fireplaces. The extensive gardens include an outdoor pool.

Loved that the accommodation and it's amenities were very private and for the exclusive use of the people staying at Vrede en Lust. The wine tasting included in our booking was also wonderful. The staff were extremely kind and were so helpful.

The staff here is the friendliest that exist. So helpful and willing to go that extra mile to assist. The breakfast is also just magnificent! Fresh fruit beautifully arranged, musli, yoghurt, juice, coffee in any version and continental breakfast served as well. Nice!
