Clean, well presented room. If in winter, bring fire wood for the fireplace, it can get cold. The room was quiet and had everything you would need. The bed was comfortable.

we liked everything, especially the hosts, garden en super location. they even offered us a better accommodation for the same price. The small, cosy and safe village of Clarens with its bars and resto’s an extra.

The hotel is very well located in the very center of town. We checked in late, but that wasn't a problem. The hosts were very helpful, and they helped us choose hiking routes, which turned out to be truly amazing. The room itself was clean and cozy, and the internet worked well.

Bereakfast was divine and had different options on different days, also the location was perfect as it was near the town with all the restaurants and shops , as well as activities to do in Clarens.

The hotel is very well positioned with amazing views from the roo. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were very polite and helpful. This was my first time in Clarens but I think the Protea Hotel is probably the best accomodation in the town.
