Staying at the hotel is not just functional or practical - it becomes part of the experience of being on holiday in Detroit. It is the kind of builing you'd want to visit or wander around in when exploring the city, so being able to stay there overnight as part of a city trip is just fantastic. And as a hotel it is top notch. The corner room I had was massive, with high ceilings, and very luxurious. Given that still larger rooms are available., I suspect it would be a great hotel for a family stay. The room was also very quiet - you see the city but do not hear it at all. Check in and check out were a breeze. It is centrally located and close to public transport, so perfect as a base to explore the city.

The location (for us) was great. Our room was comfortable, and clean enough although there was no room ‘service’ (as such), we had to put our bin in the hallway for it to be emptied. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was very good and the person who managed this area was exceptional and very helpful.
