There was really nothing not to like. I did experience a little difficult checking in as it was late and dark, and signage leaves a little to be desired. I have to take partial blame though, as if I had read my emails properly I would have realised there was an app to download that helped matters. The cottages are unpretentious but very nice, the location is unbeatable if scenery is your preference, and I had the good fortune to visit in the off-season making my stay great value. I fully expect the prices to be dramatically different in the high season though.

The staff were very accomodating, friendly and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast spread was the best of our 5 week holiday with lots of different options (including GF and vegan). The view from our room was very nice, it was special being inside the fortress, which is one of the highlights of the town.

We were so happy that we booked the pretty little cottage on the farm. It was picture perfect. Cosy, nicely decorated, simply beautiful. Had no problem getting there using Google Maps. Also the hostess was very kind and helpfull. Tasty breakfas with local or homemade ingrediants served in a beautiful wintergarden.

We couldn't have been happier to be welcomed by Annika after a long day on the bike. The rooms are cozy and have everything you need to cook. Definitely recommend getting the breakfast! The last stretch of road up to the farm isn't suitable for road bikes, but it's not too far to walk. Thanks Annika for being flexible and letting us in late!
