This is not the first visit to Nepal, but for the first time we stopped in Bhaktapur - it’s definitely worth doing! A wonderful, charming hotel in an ancient building on the oldest square in the city. We asked for a specific room and it was kindly provided to us. Everything was exactly as in the photo and even a little better. You must understand that in traditional houses there is no sound insulation and if the windows of your room overlook the square, you will hear 24 hours a day, but you will also be able to watch what is happening from the first row. The hotel is run by a very hospitable family and you can meet and interact with all generations. The service is excellent! Lovely rich breakfast, good restaurant menu and the best coffee. The most delicious yogurt in Nepal, just like “grandmother made.” The rooms are well equipped, comfortable beds, mosquito net (in our room), kettle, coffee maker, drinking water. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

I liked everything. The huge and well decorated room, the very friendly and professional staff, the varied and well prepared breakfast, the restaurants, but, above all, the spa. The hot stone massage is indescribable and makes us wish it would never end.

The owners were friendly and helpful - assisted us with a visit to a particular monastery. The breakfasts were great - good choice, and good food. The rooms were spacious, and in a Tibetan style. The hotel is an easy walk to Boudhinath Stupa.

Perfect hotel! The staff is excellent, responsive, helpful, and smiling. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and comfortable. I spent two days at the hotel and have no complaints whatsoever. The hotel arranged a fantastic tour of Kathmandu and the surrounding areas for me. The food in the restaurant is delicious, and I highly recommend it. The team has as a family vibe that makes this place warm and happy. Service is excellent. The location is in the quiet area of Thamel and just less than 10mins from any happening place in the district. For those that want a yoga or activity place, you can check out the roof ;) Breakfast is everyday changed and has local and global choices which makes it easy for fussy ones and also open to family with kids. Dont forget to ask for the airport transfert. Last.points...showers are really warm and never fail as well as the room heating which makes it enjoyable after a day of visiting. Which can be closed with a good massage at the SPA whithin the hotel.

Firstly, the great strength of this hotel is its staff who are all unfailingly pleasant, polite and professional no matter what their respective roles are. They are a credit to the hotel and I hope all are valued and respected by management. As the staff was extremely humble while checking us by Mr.kausal and Mr gokul who helped me with my lauggage and also the service throughout my in house orders was quick and beautifully presented along with the genuine authentic taste ! Overall, the apsara boutique hotel is very pleasant and heart in Thamel. I have no hesitation in recommending it to future guests.
