Everything! We felt like home. It was nice, clean and beautiful with its common spaces filled with plants. What we liked the most was the warmth from the staff, specially Agustín. He was super nice and helpful, telling us about all the activities happening in the city and resolving all of our questions. Also they told us they don't offer breakfast, only a complimentary coffee, cake and seasonal fruit juice. I have to say, even though they don't consider it to be breakfast it was one of the nicest we've had in Mexico. Also they prepared it for us very early at 6 am the day we left. Very grateful for the treatment, was a pleasure to stay there and would definitely recommend it.

This is a gem of a hotel in a perfect location about 10 minutes walk to the centre. The hotel itself is lovely, spacious rooms, relaxing pool and hammock area, beautiful dining area with a kitchen you can use any time to make a drink or use dishes etc. The breakfasts are delicious - wonderful granola, yogurt and lots of fruit, and a small cooked breakfast too - different every day! But it's the staff that really stand out! They are exceptional! They arranged a private driver and guide to take us to Uxmal one day. Unfortunately my husband had a lot of pain with his Achilles tendon. They arranged for a physiotherapist to come to the hotel and treat him, twice, while we were there! Talk about service! We highly recommend this hotel and would return in a heartbeat if we go to Merida again!

I really enjoyed my time at Hacienda Merida VIP. The building has historical charm and there’s no better way to feel the weight of Merida’s history. The room was very big and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool area. They actually had 3 pools, one for each section. One of the highlights is the location, right in the middle of the old town. Everything we wanted to visit was within a 10-minute walking distance. It was a great stay!
