Had a super awesome stay at Maison Vongpachay! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Location: situated in a quieter street, which is less than a kilometer away from Night Market, Phousi Hill, Wat Xieng Thong, etc. There is an interesting wat (Visounath) just across and a supermarket on the next (parallel) street. The mansion: I cannot call it a hotel 'coz it's like a huge house repurposed as an accommodation hostel. Only two floors, with reception area, with a huge breakfast area, and huge rooms too! It has a very homey and provincial feel, you can actually just sit there on the long wooden bench, read a book, and listen to the wind. Love the vibes. Room: Room we stayed in is good for three, with one king size bed and one bigger-than-normal single bed. Beds are firm (which is good for my back). Room is super spacious, and there is a long bench outside the room which serves as the "balcony". All rooms on the 2nd floor has it, while first floor rooms don't. Ref, electric kettle, coffee, tea, complimentary water are provided. The room, the floors, everything is super clean and tidy. Btw, I think it depends on the type of reservation, but our room comes with free breakfast everyday.👍 Toilet: Toilet amenities and towels are replenished every day. Has bidet and hot/cold shower. The owner: Jessica is awesome! She warmly welcomed us upon arrival and mafe sure we are happy with the room assigned to us. She's always there at the breakfast area to make sure we get our food soon as we order. Very hands on. She also offers tour packages to visitors and can buy train tickets including transfers. Others: The mansion has wifi. The whole place is very quiet when we visited, even the noise from surroundings are acceptable. There is a resto just across the mansion. And there are vendor stalls at the corner street where you can buy snacks!

Amazing staff, the restaurant is excellent with great service, delicious food and lots of options. The free hotel shuttles to the city were making our stay so much better it felt like we were in the heart of the city although it was a few minutes drive. They even gave us a late check out and a shuttle to the train station for free which is a 30 min drive away from the hotel. Really exceptional service!

The property is absolutely beautiful with lots of lovely spaces to sit and relax while enjoying the view. The rooms are spacious and cute and how’s had its own private couch outside to relax on as well. We loved the free water and the pool table and we also received a ceee dinner on the Friday night which was delicious. The staff are super attentive and helpful, they’re always around too which creates a nice community feel. This place is amazing value and would definitely recommend.

The property itself is beautiful! The decor is lovely, the finishing touches are great and the staff are friendly and helpful at all times. We had a free upgrade, which is always a good touch, and as it was my birthday, they even provided me with a cake and sang “happy birthday!” The pool looked amazing, although we didn’t test it out, and the gym was functional, although a little dated. It was a lovely gesture to also provide a shuttle service into the main town, give us 2 bottles of beer and a bottle of wine too!
