Good location; large room including sauna ! Incredibly personal service - couldn’t do enough for you ; very sweet bar for after dinner, including a complementary drink each night - I was given some lovely sake each night but out very informative barman.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very aesthetically pleasing. The room had a generous view of the mountain, landscape, and japanese garden. The compound itself is well serviced by a regular shuttle bus and the drivers and staff were always super helpful and professional. Onsen was super nice and you get to enjoy access to many nice onsen by staying here. One thing I really liked was the access to the lobby lounge which provided free flow soft drinks, local apple juice, coffee, beer, wine, and even snacks! Overall, you won't go wrong staying here. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Karuizawa.

Very welcoming host, willing to help in recommending places and giving us lifts. We had a nice warm tea when we got there and some relaxing music to accompany the lovely chat with Chris. Place had everything you need for a relaxing stay: phone adaptors, board and card games, en suite bathroom, and all kinds of ammenities.

Karuizawa Hotel Longing House is a hidden gem that I highly recommend. The personal indoor hot springs are a standout feature, and the option to reserve a mini personal bath online is a must-try (make sure to book in advance!). The castle-style architecture is perfect for a day of photography, and the hotel even offers bicycles for guests to borrow. Karuizawa is a wonderful vacation destination, but I suggest arriving early as some areas lack streetlights at night. The hotel's close proximity to a 7-11 convenience store is a convenient bonus.
