Well loved our pretty room under the eaves of this very old, family run hotel. We had a delightful view over the roof slates to the lake and mountains. Room and bathroom with painted walls and a luxury spa bath were much enjoyed. We enjoyed two excellent evening meals in the restaurant overlooking the lake. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit. It was so nice just being able to wander out into the streets and piazza of lovely Orta. The staff were very friendly and offered helpful information.

We booked a double room (2 people), but when we arrived there we were informed that they actually gave us the two floor apartment (usually booked by 4-6 people) for no additional charge! The view was the best view of the island you could ever get and it was so quiet all throughout the day and night. The location of the apartment was in the heart of the centre, 10 steps away from Piazza Motta. The staff were super friendly and responded on WhatsApp relatively fast for any of our concerns. They gave us a map with directions for what activities to do during our short stay. Their idea of a diffused hotel within the small city is very interesting. I can't help but give them a super good review!
