This hotel was excellent in every aspect: from check-in, to the room itself, to our meals at the restaurant, we were all around satisfied. It appears as if the Fosshotel chain has hit on a magic formula for travelers in Iceland. Our waitress in the evenings was simply excellent.

This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings.

We loved the elegant sleekness of the architecture and the decor, the helpful staff, great restaurant food, good breakfasts and most of all the fact that we were alerted to the Aurora!

Absolutely loved this place but due to our schedule we needed to leave early the next day so couldn't enjoy breakfast there. The restaurant was exceptional - the service, ambiance and food were a very high standard. With the added bonus of going into the Cowshed to meet the calves and cows! Plus we got to see the Aurora in this location just topped off a fabulous but too short stay! We will definitely be back to enjoy more of what the area has to offer.

Great stay, lovely cottage. Customer service was great. They even cleaned the roads of snow every morning to get the cars out.

It is one of the most comfortable places in Iceland that I've stayed, such a lovely apartment. Really lovely bed, great shower and great facilities including the Hot tub. That's why it's been my second time back here. Such a great location as well.

Situated in a peaceful location outside the village of Laugar. It is a self contained lodge at the rear of the owner's house. It is on the edge of a field, with views from the veranda. Well equipped with outside seating under cover. Able to watch the local bird life feeding in the field whilst having refreshments outside ine evening.
