The hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed in their sister hotel (4 stars) in Reykjavik and the five of us preferred the one in Höfn. The breakfast is not extremely big in variation but high-quality products. Apparently, they try to do a lot by themselves or source locally.

This family-run guesthouse is set on a working farm, 30 km from Höfn in south-eastern Iceland. It offers a common room with free WiFi, along homemade ice cream from their dairy farm.

The guesthouse is situated in a fantastic location- 30 minutes away from the glacier lagoon, surrounded by beautiful mountains. It was also close to Höfn, where we had a nice dinner. The rooms were fine, not modern, but I think this was even better contributing to the cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was also nice, perfect for a start of long day on the road. Most important what we loved about the guesthouse was how nice everyone was! We were caught up in a snowstorm and couldn’t make it for our first night. They were so understanding! We even got a partial refund, although they didn’t really need to do it since it was not their fault we couldn’t make it. Overall we had a great stay in Brunnhóll.

The couple working there were fantastic. Very welcoming and thoughtful. We had a problem with our car and they fetch us and helped us in everything we needed it. Fantastic! Besides, the huts are very comfortable.

Wonderful! So quiet and relaxing. Stay were very friendly and so helpful. Dinner was amazing, especially the farms own lamb. Room was comfortable and clean, amazing views all around

I was fortunate to have a free room upgrade through booking.com. My room was massive! I was originally supposed to be staying in my rented campervan, but the local campsite was closed and the weather forecast was for rain. I'm sorry I never got the lady's name on the front desk, but she was amazing! Really lovely and engaging. Recommended that I go to the local pool for a soak in their hot tubs. Best advice ever! Great selection for breakfast
