Penrith is a beautiful little town. I arrived via bus from London. The accomodation was easy to walk to from the train station. I was met so kindly at check in. After a long bus ride and still struggling from jet lag, I had the most amazing sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the area is so peaceful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. It was a very lovely stay. They were able to assist me with any questions, very accomodating.

We booked it last minute in the Easter weekend and the owners were superb! The rooms are big and clean, parking space just outside the premises and great breakfast. They accommodate our requirements (large van to park and vegan diet) very easily. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the Lake District

We had a great stay at The Lounge Hotel and Bar. We were in one of the newer rooms which was lovely. There was a spacious bathroom, a very comfortable bed and it was spotless. All the staff were helpful kind and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice all freshly cooked. My husband thought it was the best hotel breakfast he had had for a long time. We would love to visit again and highly recommend the hotel.

Bunk room was perfect for our family of 5. Toilet/showers were great. Towels and dressing gowns provided. Breakfast had lots of choice and was tasty. Also had lunch with a group of friends and really enjoyed it.

Such a warm welcome from all staff & locals, lovely cosy & comfortable accommodation, a superb restaurant with good menu & excellent food!
