Our stay here was nothing short of brilliant. What truly sets this hotel apart is its team. Every single staff member we encountered, from the housekeeping to the restaurant staff, was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The facilities were excellent, and our room was quiet and peaceful. My stay at this hotel was truly fantastic, thanks to its outstanding amenities. Swimming pool, gym, tennis anf golf - all these superb facilities made my visit unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel for a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. An old farmhouse which has been sympathetically converted to a hotel whilst retaining alot of the original features. Stunning views across the valley to Sale Fell, which is a lovely circular climb that you can do from the hotel, via St Margarets Church. Amazing views from the top. Good leisure facilities with pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym. In fact the gym has alot more equipment than on the photos. Excellent food, both breakfast and evening using high quality ingredients. VERY friendly and enthusiatic staff,going the extra mile, nothing too much trouble. Sadly wasn't travelling with our dog this time but very dog friendly. Will definitely be staying again, highly recommended and good value.

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities.

An excellent location near to the lake and town centre. The hotel has a lovely garden, is scrupulously clean and extremely comfortable. Pleasant and helpful staff.

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake.
