The room is very clean and the staff is friendly. I like the location and that's a reception there so check in is easy. For cyclist this is ideal as they have a place close to reception to store it securely with CCTV.

After a long day's walking from Muxia we found it lovely to relax in the pool and ease some of the muscle pain. The lady in reception was so friendly and efficient. Very close and easy to rejoin Camino route to Cee. Also only a short distance to lighthouse. Breakfast also very good and accomodation and breakfast prices both very reasonable

I loved staying at Casa de Balea. I arrived early but was allowed to check in after informing them ahead of time. It was located right on my camino trail and although going up a few flight of stairs to get to my room in the second floor was a bit of a challenge with my aching legs and feet, getting to my room was a great reward. The room and the bathroom were so pretty, spacious, and clean. I was assigned the Greenpeace room and the room was decorated in blue and with stuff on Greenpeace. The whole pension had a whale and eco-friendly vibe, which I loved. There were living rooms where you could sit and read with a view of the sea. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure was strong. Wifi was free. The pension was a short walk away from cafe bars. Breakfast was delicious and filled me up perfectly before I started my walk the following day. I also got a lovely gift from the owner to remember them by. Very memorable place.

We stayed for one night but would have happily stayed much longer. Everything was perfect for us. The location is fabulous - a pleasant 15 mins walk to the glorious Carnota beach, and just 2 mins to the famous Carnota hórreo, the longest in Spain. The rooms were spotless, chic and very comfortable, with towels, toiletries and a lovely view to the sea in the distance. What makes O Prouso super special is Pedro, the owner, who looked after us wonderfully well. He knew what we wanted before we did! He reserved us a table in the bar, made us a delicious chicken and potato dish for dinner…all without us speaking a word of Spanish! Everyone at O Prouso obviously works very hard to make guests feel comfortable, welcomed and catered for and Pedro is the perfect host. The bar beneath the rooms was lively and popular with locals, a real slice of Galician life. Marvellous! Highly recommend. We’d love to come back.
