Lovely setting, short walk into the town centre. Facilities were nice and the villa set back from the main hotel was quiet. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and diverse.

Very central, yet really peaceful and quiet. The apartment style room was awesome and felt like home for the week stay. And the balcony with lovely view across the valley is by far the best hotel option in Oberhof - highly recommend.

We were travelling to attend ice skating competition in Ilmenau. And couldn’t find any available hotel over there. This hotel was on some distance, but the stuff was super friendly and give a ride next morning after the breakfast directly to ice skating stadium. And location is absolutely amazing- beautiful forest and mountains!

Luisenthal is at a strategic position, close to the famous Oberdorf and also from Ohrdruf, which has all the utilities you may need, like 3 or 4 good supermarkets. The hotel is in a forest area. It is spacious and silent. Good pool.
