In contrast to many other hospitality options in the Harz, this little gem of a hotel was absolutely lovely. The owners were very friendly and open. The homemade cakes they offered were marvellous and had the most pleasent presentation. The breakfast was not overwhelmingly lavish but offered many homemade jams and a nice variety of bread, coffee, drinks, and muesli.

The Berghotel Rosstrappe is located close to Thale on the Rosstrappe cliffs. It provides quiet rooms, a beer garden, and panoramic views of the Harz mountain range.

Location of the hotel is exceptional. Free parking was available close to the hotel (hotel sent us a detailed explanation where to park). Room and bathroom were spacious. Breakfast rooms are big and plenty of nice tables to chose from. Staff was very friendly.
