This was the most amazing place ever. Maybe one of the best I’ve stayed in! A beautiful pousada where you can relax. Lovely pool area. Room and chalet a great size and space. The staff were so friendly and always working hard I could see. 10 min walk max to the Quadrado. Great breakfast. This was truly an excellent place.

Above average breakfast with extras (taking into account average Bahia hotels) such as quiche, bruschettas and more. Super helpful, relaxed and efficient staff. I was allowed early check-in without a problem. The grounds of the pousada are extensive, with a fitness, relaxation and spa areas from where you can see the river. The beach is 7 minutes walk away, and if you go to the nearest beach lounge, they have an arrangement whereby you get a beach towel and a 50 reais discount. The place is Ze Barbudo and is excellent.

Pousada Calypso is located in Trancoso, a 1-minute walk from Trancoso's Quadrado Square and just 300 metres from the beach. It offers rustic accommodation and a garden hot tub for a fee.

This is a beautiful place to stay. The location just off the square is amazing. The facilites of pool and jacuzzi were great as was the coffee and cake in the afternoon. The staff are absolutely amazing we loved our short stay and will be back.

A beautiful location with pool and lovely gardens but yet very close to everything near the square in Trancoso . The room was very clean with a large double bed with mosquito net and a patio area with hammock .The breakfast was delicious with lots of fresh fruit and you can order eggs etc .Parking spot very helpful .Easy access to beach ( 15 mins walk) but we liked driving a bit further to Taupe beach ( completely deserted and spectactular ,but no food ) - head in the direction of the golf club ,and its a bit further after that after that .Eating out is delicious in Trancoso but can be pricey ,however if you head in the direction away from the beach and the square it gets cheaper .
