Very nice room with comfortable bed and great wifi. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff with excellent English. Good and varied breakfast. Quiet location and safe but several good restaurants nearby and a doable walk to the main square. All good!

The hotel is beautiful, absolutely beautiful, art everywhere, fine detail, the breakfast restaurant is on the rooftop with a view and most of the staff are super polite and friendly. It was central for everything I wanted to do, it was super comfy, spacious and secure.

This boutique hotel really has an unique character, but what made our stay truly enjoyable was Juan Carlos and his family who run this hotel. They truly supported and helped us in so so many ways for our stay in La Paz and as first time visitors in Bolivia, as each day we had so many questions. We arrived at 5 am in the morning after an overnight flight, and we could check-in into our room so easily after a private transfer from the airport arranged by Juan Carlos. Everything in this hotel, from the big size of the room, to its distinct interior, to the lovely breakfast each morning, to its very convenient location right in the city centre, just one street behind the main boulevard. We left El Consulado to continue with our itinerary in Bolivia, but we are truly so happy to be returning there for 1 more night on our way to Peru.
