Chems Bleu is located in quite a dark alley but once the doors open a green and luminous space is waiting for you! The staff is very helpful and super friendly. We had one of the higher located rooms with a private terrace looking at the ocean which was absolutely lovely! The rooms are individual decorated and very clean. As long as you’re not very tall you will have a great time. The ceilings are not the highest and the bed is rather small compared to other places we have stayed at in Marokko.

The air conditioning was welcome as it was a bit humid. Wifi worked well in all spaces. Breakfast was delicious. The owner, Mohammed, was very attentive and catered to our every need. For example, we were interested in purchasing some of the traditional inlaid wood trays that Essaouira is famous for. He took us to a shop with pieces of very high quality where we were able to purchase exactly what we wanted in a low pressure environment.
