Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOver all the hotel itself is absolutely lovely but right now it is located in the .... construction zone. I was very disappointed that the hotel did not have this information on the website, because I would book it somewhere else. As of April 25, there are 5 huge buildings rising up right at your window. It's loud and dusty, and even being at the pool was not pleasant having a crane right above you. Luckily the front desk staff was very helpful and put us in the quieter room, which was very nice and only some noise of construction ( which started at 7 am ) was detectable. I live in NYC and I am used to noise 24/7 but construction from all around you, is just too much
the room was spacious, with adjustable AC, and the bathroom was large, The service in the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. The cafe has delicious food and snacks. The location is good, if you need to travel places, as it is right by the main roads ( for us it was a plus ). The closeness of the river and trail would be great if you did not have to get there through dusty construction.

United KingdomOnly minor things, but the shower was very weak, no overhead lighting so room was a bit dark, tv interface not userfriendly as proper tv guide. For some unknown reason the lift beeped at every floor which was quite annoying!
Fun hotel with a nice design, big modern rooms and comfortable bed. Location is great for Rainey Street.

United StatesThe hotel is nice, but only worth the discounted price. If I had paid the full price for the room I stayed in it would have been a rip off. Charging $63 for the garage at the basement is also too much. The neighborhood is very crowded and incredibly noisy. The constructions everywhere around make it impossible to walk anywhere. It is so sad to see the Rainey st district overtaken by skyscrapers. Not choosing this area of the town for my next visit.
The room was comfortable, the beds were great and thankfully we stayed at the 13th floor so it was very quiet. I wanted to try the pool but the weather was not good.

CanadaThere is a ton of construction going on in this area and I mean a ton. The hotel is entirely surrounded by large condo developments on every single side. I didn't count, but there are at least 4 new buildings just being built around all sides of the hotel. I don't mean near the hotel, I mean right next to the hotel. You will be completely surrounded by construction for the next 4+ years. It's incredibly loud and makes it difficult to enjoy the pool area because of the constant work - even on Saturday and Sunday this work continues. I would also say that outside of the construction you can hear the music from the bars on Rainey street until the late hours of the evening. All that to be said, if you're looking for peace and quiet this is not the hotel for you. Not for the next few years anyways until the construction wraps up. I would also say that the pool area has a ton of potential, but the pool was terribly cold. We had to ask them to turn the heater on. Overall, the pool area is not taken care of either. All the cushions are left out overnight, typically wet in the morning, the pool seating areas are not "set up" as you would expect at a hotel with dry cushions, towels, etc. It's a bit of a free for all and a wasted opportunity to create a little oasis in my opinion.
This is a nice hotel in a pretty good location. You can walk to South Congress bridge and the shopping district in about 20 minutes or so or to the Capital building in about the same amount of time. It's also a 1 minute walk to the famous Rainey street which has a bunch of unique bars and patios. The hotel has a great restaurant that surprisingly had really great breakfast. The eggs benedict with potatoes was awesome. The pool area is a great place to have a few drinks and just relax. The rooms are pretty standard rooms with king beds and a walk in shower. The staff were always willing to help with any request we had as well. Overall, a nice hotel.

United Statesstaff should have been smarter to not place a couple next to a bachelorette party. such an amateur move. second room was dirty - asked to have it deep cleaned which never happened.
cool boutique-y hotel. great area - but loud at night. each room has a noise cancelling machine which worked like a charm. the first room was perfect except the staff placed us next to a bachelorette party with an adjoining door - not so smart. we had to move rooms. the second room was really dirty. restaurant was great. pool was great.

United StatesThe nickle and diming on the bill was outrageous. City of Austin hotel tax is high and would be the same at any other accommodation, but the kicker was that between one night of parking ($65) and the mandatory ($30) *daily* guest amenity fee, it was an additional $100 on top of what we expected to pay. Ouch!
New, clean accommodations, nice design, well appointed, and fairly large rooms. Rainey Street location is convenient to downtown, convention center, as well as all the nearby bars. There is a good bit of construction going on in the area, but we honestly couldn't hear any of it from the room.

AustraliaConstruction was going on all around the hotel, so it was very noisy and dusty. Also I think I've been overcharged and have emailed the hotel querying this, so hopefully it will be resolved.
All facilities and staff were very good. Most of the Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the bar staff were great! My room was very comfortable & quiet (apart from the construction noise). Geraldines Restaurant had good food and live entertainment every night.

United StatesAll of the "hidden" fees. The incidental fee is $200 per night and the overnight parking was $191 for three nights. They could have been mentioned somewhere, but I was not told about these fees until I checked in and checked out.
The rooms are large, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff were all so nice and professional. The shower was great with an easily adjustable temperature.
