    Nothing.

Good location. Interesting, large site with shops, restaurant, bar, pool etc. Big shop and store but quite expensive. Helpful, friendly staff.

Charming, somewhat dated and pricey place at a perfect location in the park

Expensive for what you get. The room has seen better times and needs some care. The airco worked well, but was extremely loud and switched on and off all the time. The ventilator in the bathroom makes very strange noises. Mattress felt a bit worn down. Room and hallway smelled heavily of room perfume. And a small one: maybe it was just bad luck, but they only had flavored coffee in the room. There is not much alternative close by, so you pay for the (perfect) location. Would go there again for the location (and bring my own coffee..)

The location in the park is perfect for reaching the main attractions. Historic buildings with large (expensive) shop, ice cream parlor and a small, but charming museum. Room was clean and spacious with a small balcony facing a garden.

Allowing people to smoke in the “porch”5 feet next door is not non smoking. The Last kind Words restaurant does not offer food to go. Why? The majority of cashiers were rude and unfriendly.

Location is good. Rooms were clean. The pool is big with lots of seating.

Two of the restaurants were closed so instead of travelling a couple miles we opted for the buffet. It was overpriced, the staff on the till never spoke a word to us. There was nothing to tell you what the offerings were (soup but no idea what kind) the floor was sticky at the drinks area and half the tasteless drinks weren’t available. To finish it off we were expected to clear away our own dishes and cutlery. A bit like high school dinners. Not what I would expect from a hotel

The grounds were beautiful and the room was big with two king size beds. Loads of space in bathroom and at vanity area. There was a fridge in the room to keep water cool

2 days prior to arriving, we changed our dates via Booking.com and received the confirmation with new information. Upon arrival, the staff said we had no booking for that night and that they didn't know what to do as they were fully booked. We waited over 45 minutes for a manager who never showed, before a receptionist named Cat was able to figure it out for us. The room was outdated, nothing special and extremely overpriced for what you get. Supermarket is ridiculously expensive, charging $12+ for a prepacked basic sandwich, for example. Take your own food/snacks/drinks to avoid the robbery.

The location couldn't be better for Death Valley, and it was very peaceful to sit on our terrace in the rocking chairs and admire the stars and see the resort itself, with all its greenery. A front desk worker by the name of Cat was very helpful with a stressful issue we had with our booking. Free parking.

The restaurant on site was closed for dinner leaving not much choice for food except for the general store which sells pretty much everything but for crazy expensive (think 12$ for a pack of cheese slices and 16$ for frozen meal packs).

The rooms were spacious and clean. The swimming pool was a welcome respite to the 45C heat!

In principle, the room is comfortable and provides everything that you might need. However, the room was not clean: sand, trash and hair was readily seen on the carpet. Apparently the room was not properly vacuum cleaned. A big fungi infestation in the bathroom. Spaces between tiles are solid black. Strangely, it does not smell like mold, so maybe something has been done to minimize the problem. Tea/coffee maker is no good for making tea, as the boiled water strongly tastes of plastic. Also, no tea provided. Very noisy AC.

The location is great. One can enjoy unique nature at its best - during sunrise/sunset, as some major locations of Death Valley are very close by. Outdoor territory of the Ranch is very beautiful and well maintained.

The rooms were dated and didn’t feel clean. The AC unit spewed out air that smelt incredibly musty, indicating mold or mildew which isn’t the safest.

One of the few hotels in Death Valley, decent location to explore the rest of the NP and the grounds felt like an oasis in the middle of the desert.
