Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandAs that was our honeymoon, the receptionist upgraded our room and we received the one with better view on the 43rd floor. We had to leave 2 days earlier and they did not charge us for the last night.

PolandA little bit too small room, but it’s a standard in NYC. Sometimes it was too crowded at the breakfast.
We spent 8 nights and got an upgrade room with the magnificent view from 45th floor. The hotel nearby subway station and many attractions.

ItalyPrice is expensive A laundry cart was left in front of my door the entire time making passage narrow and its ugly. Find another place ( room 4012) Breakfast is not super healthy and could offer better options Elevator wait time is not Ok at all No security - anyone could get in the elevator and go up. This is not OK. If there is a system to read the room cards, use it. If you put a fridge and microwave in the room, put a few plates and cutlery as well.
The staff at the front desk was really nice and helpful. The location for work is excellent (FIT) . The room was well cleaned.

SpainJust for the sake of completeness.. queues for elevators can be very long and we had a broken light in the room. These points did not ruin our stay in any way!
The room view was amazing. Room is not huge but more than ok considering it’s NYC. location of the hotel is great. I liked the hotel because the average quality in NYC is rather low, whereas our stay here was more than satisfactory

IsraelHowever, the breakfast is lame and the line to actually get there is way too long and made us skip breakfast several times. The staff dealing with the breakfast was very unpleasant as well. Also, we waited a long time for the elevators to go down.
The location is great and the rooms are very nice.

United KingdomBreakfast was a shambles every day. Gets super packed and it’s a frenzy at the buffet. Selection is also poor compared with other properties of this standard. Should really reorganise this part of it as it let down the experience. The staff were lovely and did what they could but this is a management issue they need to rehaul it
The room and staff were great. Great location too close to a lot.

United KingdomI had 2 separate bookings for a king size room (1 & 3 days). Reception said that they don't have a king size room available for the first night so they offered a room with 2 queen size beds which was ok for me. We were given the keys right away and the next night checked in into the correct room. Upon check out I realised they have added an early check in fee which wasn't communicated to me before. So please check all your invoiced before leaving the hotel. The hotel managed to solve this thankfully. The breakfast is very not impressive for European standards. If I knew this before, I would better consider other hotels with similar prices.
The location is very great, close or early reachable for many attractions. Loved the big TV and the fact it had Netflix installed! :) nice room view too

LithuaniaThe breakfast. Very poor variety and no vegetables. You can choose from boiled eggs and scrambled eggs with strange sausages. Also, there are some Kellogs with milk, muffins, bananas, apples, and clementines. The same every day.
The location and room itself. Quite new, clean, and well-maintained. The view was very good.

Czech RepublicTiny tables and not enough space in the breakfast area. So if you don't plan to have a long breakfast with never-ending chit-chat, you'll be fine. Just grab something to eat, eat it and leave.
I was amazed by this hotel. My expectations were a bit low, because New York is known for pricey and tiny hotel rooms. But SpringHill Suites really surprised me. Hotel room even with the bathroom was quite spacious (even for my 6'9" huge husband) and we got a beautiful view of Empire State Building. Check-in process was quick. They even provided us a transfer back to the airport (compared to the cab it was a real bargain). Breakfast was good, sufficient, very crowded, but they would give you a table within a few minutes in the line. There was plant-based milk, gluten-free options, but hardly any vegetables (but that's just America, I guess..). Hotel itself is just a few steps away from a subway. Just round the corner there is a grocery store and a liquor store. And the best thing – it is located in a flower district. So there are tons of flower shops and flowers in the streets. I couldn't get enough of it. It was a great stay. I am definitely going to repeat it. Highly recommend it. Good value for your money.

ItalyBreakfast is kind of a disaster. The room in which breakfast is served is way too small to accommodate the guests and therefore there are huge lines in the morning. We had to get breakfast to go and eat it in the room to be able to manage to get out on time for our tours. Moreover, breakfast choices could be improved. There are 4 elevators and most of the time waiting times are pretty long
The hotel is in a great position, few blocks away from many of the main attractions of Mahnattan. Our room was on the 36th floor and the view was great. Room is clean and spacious enough to enjoy a couple of days in the city
