It didn’t take long to fill the jackoozie and the bed felt great but the pillows always sink my head in and it feels like I don’t have a pillow. Overall I loved the experience

Toilet ran non stop , I know they a are doing rooms. I’m sure it will be nice when they are done …also coffee was old in the morning at 7:30am

No early check-in. Was unable to use gym due to renovation materials. But I think that when they are finished with updates the hotel will be better.

The room felt a bit sparse but the hotel was under construction so would assume there would be more when it's fully complete.

The forest view room was great in the winter and would definitely be better when the trees are full, and with the colors of fall.

When there's only a few people staying at the motel, why don't the attendants scatter the guests rooms out more, so there's not a noisy person right next to the others? This happens in most motels, not just yours.

We got to see 3 deer walking in the woods behind the motel. Glad we had a room to the back, instead of looking at the parking lot.

I did not like that the general manager changed the Christian music after I complimented the music and the ambiance: traditional and family oriented.

I liked the Christmas decoration and the Christian music in the lobby. I liked the rustic lodge decoration and ambiance. I liked the fire and the fireplace. I liked the Gideon Bible inside my room. After I told the general manager that I liked the Christian music in the lobby, she changed the music to a generic kind. I did not appreciate her changing the music ☹. I liked the breakfast. I liked the location. I liked the complimentary tickets to Chula Vista Lost Rios Indoor Waterpark. In general, this hotel exceeded my expectations. I hope that they don't change the lodge decor to something generic and without character. It's perfect the way it is.

They didn't tell us that the chula Vista would be closed during our stay, and we were looking forward to those passes for our girls. So we had to pay an extra $140 for day passes to the wilderness. If we would have known that we wouldn't have access to Waterpark passes for the kids, we wouldn't have stayed there.

No air conditioning in the lobby. Room was not cleaned and ice bucket still had the old bag with water in it. Continental breakfast had watered down gravy and no water to drink. Pancake machine was not working properly.
