Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United States1. I waited a long time to check in. staff was away. 2. The room door was opened with the latch lock when we arrived at the room. 3. The sink as not draining. Gross. 4. No TV remote. The staff kindly delivered one to the room though.
The breakfast, despite other reviews, was fantastic. The breakfast eating area was clean, the food selection was great, the staff attending the breakfast area was diligent and friendly.

United StatesWifi was out when we arrived. We needed it. It didn’t go back to working for hours. We always stay at Hilton hotels when traveling because we can count on the cleanliness. This was our first time staying in Fremont, Ohio Hilton. Room 222. We arrived on the 26 of July. Stayed one night. The bathtub was filthy. The floor of the tub was dirty and a dirty ring around the sides. I was shocked because of the other Hilton’s being so clean. Also dirt or mold in the tub corners. We happened to see the cleaning crew in the hall and were a couple of boys. They obviously don’t know how to clean. On my way out I told the girl behind the desk. She said she would tell the manager. I called back this evening. Manager was not in so I asked the person who answered if my concern ever reached the manager. It didn’t . I left a voice mail for the manager with my phone number. So far no call back. I really think that for $184.00 for one night we should receive wifi and a clean tub so we can get a shower. No masks on the cleaners or office help either. I want an adjustment on my bill. Thank you, Carol Streeter
