How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Other than getting a room with a broken AC unit we were pleased with the cleanliness. Did NOT see any bugs or signs of them.
The staff was very accommodating when the AC wasn't working and cut us a serious discount for the inconvenience.

Breakfast was advertised as available until 10 but actually stopped at 9 so even though it was supposed to be included . So no breakfast!!

I definitely learned what a double bed was. Quite small for two adults. Also, my son was literally stopped at the door because the "policy" advised the breakfast could not go outside the lobby. All they had was a waffle maker, juice, bagels, and cereal. My son made a waffle to eat in the car because we were headed to a sports tournament at 8am. The demeanor of the front desk clerk was rude and demanding. I've NEVER been told by a lodging facility where I could eat my breakfast. Never by a 3-5 star however the Econo Lodge had the audacity....
The location was great. The outside of the facility was well kept. The refrigerator was already plugged in and cold.

Couldn't make easy referrals for food.

Bed frame was made of metal (?) that creaked and groaned terribly.

Cleanliness. The floor was definitely not clean. Very uncomfortable chair. No working coffeemachine.

We had cockroaches on our bedroom. The room was next to some kind of dumpster so you could hear the loud noise of something being dropped every once in a while. The shower didn’t have hot water. The breakfast was terrible, to go coffee cups were like 30ml, no sweeteners, no milk, very little places to seat, very poor. We just decided to go elsewhere for breakfast.
The hotel room is pretty standard. Staff was fine but we also didn’t ask them for anything, it was just checkin.

It was just a bit more bares bone than I'm used to, but I guess you get what you pay for. No carpeting, no art on the walls. The bedframe was some kind of metal which made quite a noise everytime it was touched.
The bed was comfortable and everything functioned all right. The breakfast was OK.

I didn't realize that I had chosen a smoking room because the room smelled like someone just left out the room smoking. So my kids and I had to smell smoke from a cigarette the entire stay. Also I didn't know that I had to put down a deposit and I was expecting to pay what I was told to pay in the email that I received so I was a little bit surprised about that, and I didn't stay but one night because I checked out early and I didn't even get half of my money back for the night that I didn't stay but I did received my deposit back and I was satisfied with that but I still wanted half of my money back and I was disappointed about that. There's more that I was disappointed about my stay but I will save that for another time or day.
I like room, it nice and clean and comfortable.

I stayed on the smoking inside not really sure if that’s the reason why some of the guest on this side were loud throughout the night. doors slamming, just a lot of unnecessary mess.
The cleaning staff are very attentive room was clean they do provide breakfast

The door to get in was messed up. You had to slam it for it to shut. It wasn't level on the hinges. The staff was short and to the point but not in a friendly way.

Noisy in the evenings, air from ac stunk, shady people around typical of this type of hotel.
Ease of check in, easy to locate and access room, clean room Great price compared to other similar hotels. Better choice than Quality inn don't bother go here instead.

The sheer curtain had tears in; breakfast was very skimpy (just waffles). Bed was squeaky and bedsheet had a hole in it. Noisy guest above us and woke us up earlier than we wanted to get up, Bathroom was very big, but just toliet and shower, there would have been plenty of room to add a vanity. Sink and vanity in the bedroom area.
It was nice that the refrigerator had a freezer. Room was clean.

Just the check in person
Location was good breakfast was good but the check in person at the front hated her job and showed it. When I came to the front she just sat there and stared at me like I ruined her life coming up there
