The location was good but at night it did seem a little sketchy. I was a lone female traveller and didn’t feel that safe walking to the hotel at night. There was also no hand wash in the room - I had my own so this wasn’t a problem and I’m sure they would have provided me some if I’d asked.

The room was a good size with good facilities. The hotel is in a convenient location and close to most of the cities attractions. It’s right next to a trolley stop so easy to get to. The valet parking will set you back €58 a night which is extortionate and the parking around the hotel didn’t seem a reasonable price either, so best to get public transport if you can.

The bar / coffee shop was being renovated during our entire stay which was a little annoying but the hotel set up a mini bar adjacent so we could still access drinks and meals. The newly renovated bar looked amazing though.

Great location for the Gaslamp Quarter. Beautiful building and very friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious.

This is not within Management's control however it is important for other travellers to know: we selected this location because we wanted to access multiple sites quickly and felt it was appropriately central. However, the homeless situation in Downtown San Diego has gotten progressively worse over the last few years. We traveled to SD in 2019 pre-pandemic and comparatively, the times These Days have not been kind to the less fortunate. I specifically did not feel safe walking outdoors with my family after sundown and cannot choose to stay here again for that reason. I spoke to the clerk at the 7/11 who confirmed that the petty theft <$1,000 continues to plague CA and he assured me that if I stayed long enough, I would witness it myself. Again, this is not a reflection of the fabulous staff or beautiful building... but certainly important to know when organizing a trip on Booking.com

The building itself was impressive and the lobby was beautiful. The Staff were also very friendly to my family and young child. There were moments where we needed food service outside of regular hours, or needed special accommodations for our child and the staff did not skip a beat. Special shoutout to the night manager at the front desk who was able to get me coffee at 4AM, to the barchef Nick for mixing off the menu drinks, and the cleaning staff for accommodating off-schedule requests!!

Homeless around the hotel but no threat,just sad.Early morning rubbish pickup noisy but necessary.

location on broadway au,1 block from gaslamp district[a must do for evening meals and crowd watching]Trolley to access waterfront behind hotel,buses out the front.Uber was so convenient and cheap to use.No parking but didn,t have or need a car.Eateries everywhere with lots of variety.

When I first came the receptionist said there is no booking. They not even bothered to see my booking details on booking.com on my phone. However after giving my passport it was noted that they entered my name wrong on their system. So first experience was poor since I came after a tired flight with delayed and all. Then I was traveling with three big and heavy luggage and with kid, no one was there to support. I had to take all of that to the room and bring back all by my self. This type of hotel I strongly would like to have serviced rather self serviced. Next the staff outside who opens the door didn’t even care about the guest. Once they opened the door it nearly hit my face since the door was opening towards outside. They were busy with their own talks with some one and not concentrating on guest.

Resturant staff was really friendly and not the rest of others. When I first came the receptionist said there no booking.

The hotel has a smell of cigarette smoke, at least throughout the third floor. The rooms are comfortable but need some maintenance. For $300/night, I expected a lot more.

The location is nice, and the lobby is beautiful. The staff was very flexible when our arrival plans got mixed up.
