How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bathroom was too small, a bit pokey.
Location was perfect, beachfront ocean view was outstanding. Pool was good, although not enough sun beds at times.

The curtains and rug showed their age and had a fair amount of staining. Needs to be refreshed especially for the price of the room.
Excellent location across the street from the beach and plenty of restaurant and shopping nearby. Room had a slice of beach view (recommend staying in the Beach Tower).

Room wasn't very big. Bathroom was tiny making it difficult to move. Cleaning only offered every other day. Pool was ridiculously crowded - we couldn't find a single spot. Noise from the pool music at night bothered us. The elevators were not working properly. Sometimes we waited over 10 minutes so then everyone crowded in. One night the elevator got stuck and the fire department had to rescue the people trapped. Honolulu is just too noisy and crowded. Not relaxing. Our son and his wife ended up moving to the Royal Hawaiian for a calmer vibe.
Beds were comfortable. We had a nice view of the ocean as well as Diamond Head. Liked having an espresso machine in the room. Location right across from Waikiki.

Wished the outdoor bar had stayed open after 10pm!
Clean, modern with fantastic outdoor bar/pool area. Rooms are bright and very comfortable. Great value for money. Will definitely come back.

Housekeeping is every other day only. (with on option of skipping more days for $15 credit per room vs per person). Espresso/coffee maker in the room needs to have clear instructions for ease of operation. Queen bed seems smaller than the one I have at home?
Clean, comfortable beds and linen. Great location. Friendly staff.

The pool could be warmer and cleaner. Lots of kids during our stay and it definitely made for a murkier pool water.
The location is right across the beach and many other restaurants.

Bell hops could have been friendlier. A smile and acknowledegment that you are waiting goes a long way. Other staff were great.

The elevators , they need a few more but obviously can’t do that now it’s built but dorms a lot of time waiting for the lifts

More information about how to get to tourist places without having to join the tours. For example while on an all day tour we saw the local transport arrive at a couple of the beaches for snorkeling

The only concern was the noise. We were on floor 11 and could still hear noise from the street so the soundproofing could be better. We could also hear noise from other guests outside so that was a little disruptive.
This resort is very central to Waikiki. You are just a few steps away from the heart of Waikiki. The room was beautiful. We had an ocean view room with a balcony and it was amazing!

The sheets were some form of plastic. My skin was irritated from the sheets.

It is loud! Even with doors closed you can hear people in hallways and at pool. We had 3 different rooms and only one had a bidet! Why not all...

Bathroom was a little tight, resort restaurant and bar were a little on the pricier side.
It was in the centre of Waikiki, which was walking distance from all the major attractions, shopping strips and Waikiki beach. We had the King Partial Ocean View room on the top level, which had great views of both the ocean and the city from the corner room. Concierge team was very helpful.
