I didn’t like that the water was cut off way too many times, and there was too long waiting time sometimes for the breakfast, but there was an amazing view to the ocean while waiting, so it was ok.

The hotel has a beautiful tropical garden, and a very nice and quiet beach near to it. The room was basic but comfortable, with nice view to the garden. The staff is really nice. I appreciate that I could stay longer in the room on my last day, as my flight was late in the evening, that helped a lot. It’s not a luxury hotel, but still a beautiful place to stay and relax. The area is quiet, so only come here, if you want to relax only.

At times, the low tide seemed too lazy and too slow :) to give way to the high tide, delaying our ocean swims :( but I had never witnessed this phenomenon in such a remarkable way, and in itself it was both a curiosity and an enjoyable experience.

My wife and I love water entertainment and being there off-season (we were just two couples!) allowed us to enjoy it to the fullest, as we like it, with the full and very discreet support of the hotel staff.

Wine was very expensive.

It has a beautiful setting, a wonderful beach, it is a small quiet and peaceful resort with very friendly staff. Went for a snorkel out on a boat with local fishermen that was organised by the staff. Beach 1 minute away, directly accessibly from the hotel. Great experience. If you want lots of action go elsewhere. A note for vegans: They made me a superb vegan breakfast on request, with fresh fruit and grilled vegetables. Lunch/supper option always had 2 vegan / plant based meal options. Just bring your own plant milk.

Limited breakfast variaty - but they did their best to provide us out of the menu ³saussage upon request free of charge. Location was isolated with very few nearby restaurants apart the one inside hotel. And meals were generally expensive. Supermarket and remote restaurants were accessible only by car. Room lacked drinking water bottels, bath shower gell, and electric kettle.

All staff was realy helpful and nice, special thanks for ASTA & MATTHEW. Room was spacious. Matress was very confortable. They quickly responded to our complaint about a minor plumbing problem and it was fixed at once. The stuff was so cooperative and quickly responding for our special requests. White sand beach is just beautiful but unaccessible during high tide after sunset.

The secure facilities and the food options were really exceptional value. Every day has a new seafood menu with options for everyone's taste. The enthusiasm and professionality of the staff is also first class. A great place for kids.

The restaurant was great and all but you had to order it way in advance and even then it was never ready at the time we requested it. Furthermore we usually had to ask multiple times for them to please bring out the food. We had a family of 5 and it's hard to keep the children calm and occupied for such a long time while waiting for the food.

LOVED the location. It was perfect--tucked out of the way, relaxing, and safe. I really enjoyed conversations with the staff and owner.

It is such a relaxing and peaceful place to stay and the location was great with direct access to the beach. Petra and all the staff were incredibly friendly and really went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely stay. The food was great too and we ate here every night. We only stayed for 3 nights but wish we had booked for longer. We had a great room with a lovely view of the garden and the sea. Thoroughly recommend !

Nothing to worry about. As an improvement we can say that some glasses for drinking water will make a difference in the room, Maybe a clothes rack or at least some hangers, will also help.

Cozy and quiet room with Ocean exceptional view ! Roustique but confy, fair equiped, with a traditional Zanzibar touch. Just few steps from beach, walking on the white immaculate sand of Pongwe. Away from crowded areas, Salty water swimming pool just perfect as option to Ocean waves, in windy days. Traditional eating area with a lovely bar, nice music backsounds (by evening) and a wonderful smiling team trying to offer the best time of your life, during stay. Ask for mango or pineapple fresh juice and please try the exceptional lunch or dinner menu's made by the local kitchen Chef. At least one Michelin star from our side. If you plan to visit other island spots just ask Petra (the owner) for support. We were amazed by the tides amplitude and how nature looks in both high and Nakupenda Queen of Sheba ! Problem free....philosophy ! Hakuna Matata !

- The prices at the restaurant for food and drinks are really high - especially for Tanzania. For example: bottle beer (5$), small water bottle (1$), dinner menu 3 courses (25$) - We wanted to go to the nearby town, but it was not possible to get a transfer from the hotel. We had to walk to the main road and look for a transport on ourselves.

- The room is really nice and clean, but there was no AC. As it is also hot during the night, I would take a room with AC the next time. - The staff is really nice and helpful. - It’s a quite area and perfect if you want to have a relaxing and quite time.
