How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We stayed here the night before heading to Khao Sok National Park. The hostel has arranged for us to go on the tour when we booked the property and we paid for the tour when we got there. The family who owns the hostel were so nice and helpful. The food in their restaurant was also gorgeous. The owner let us use the shower facilities when we came back from the tour before our bus came to pick us up, he was very nice. Our room has great air conditioning and was perfect for what we needed. Thanks for a great stay!

You can book tours to the National park at the hostel, the food is nice and the laundy service was very fast and good as well :)

No bedlights at the dorm beds No curtains at the dorm beds Power sockete for charging could be placed better. Only one bathroom connected to the dorm room. Others were downstairs (minor inconvenience)
Lovely atmosphere. The free drinking water was great and there was a bar downstairs for drinks and food. Very kind staff that is willing to help you and the many restaurants and shops are close

We had the privat room and we were really happy with it. Relatively big room with its own bathroom. It felt really clean and the owners are really nice too. The booked the Khao sok tours for us, which was a really big help.

The tour that you book through the hostel, while an external company, is not great. Super strict schedule very limited free time to enjoy the lake, staff were incredibly rude going so far as to yell and swear at one couple in front of everyone.
The hostel itself is great. Comfortable, clean, staff are very friendly.

I guess nothing that I disliked :o
The owner speaks very good English and is happy to help with literally everything. One of the very best hosts I have ever had! :D The place is nice, cute outside patio and balcony. The pillows are the one's with an ergonomic shape, which is nice. Very good price for what they offer!

I'm a weirdo that doesn't like an a/c, and it was running very well ;)
The location is only a few steps away from the entrance to the National Park. The dorm was very spacious, clean, with a beautiful view from the balcony. Pillows super comfortable. Family running this place cuper cute and helpful.

the only thing i’d say is one bathroom between 8 people would be a bit difficult however this was okay for us as it was not fully booked when we stayed
the beds were comfy, good location, the staff helped us with our tour and were very accommodating especially the young man behind the desk who helped us with everything they do breakfast lunch and dinner and drinks at a good price

Everything you need is there. Room was well equipped, clean, with everything you need. I was only in the national park one night before my tour. Everything was clean. Booking the tour through the hostel was easy.

The blankets were just big towels and the pillows very uncomfortable, basically just foam blocks. Also there‘s no curtains on the beds.
Very welcoming and friendly staff, nice common area with restaurant. The rooms have balconies which is really cool and there‘s a pretty social atmosphere. Good shower as well.

Amazing private room, with private bathroom, aircon, balcony and fridge. Spacious room with nice furniture and facilities. Friendly owner who dropped us to the bus station. Close to bars and restaurants on the main road. Lockers available for valuables.

I would love to have bedside tables in the room and mosquito net on the windows so then we could enjoy the fresh mountain air!
We were extremely welcome! The hostel is close and clean. the room was spacious, with a minibar, hair dryer, and kettle. Good storage in the room and a balcony. The staff have helped to book the most amazing trip to Khao Sok National Park, 2 days 1 night, plus transport to Koh Samui. They offered us a complimentary breakfast as we were for a night. I will definitely be back!

Great location. Stayed in a private room which felt more like a hotel, really clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and booked us onto the 2 day 1 night Nam Talu Cave floating bungalows tour a week before arrival. We had a fantastic time on the tour and were able to leave our luggage for free with them.

That you need to pay for everything if you want to do something, there is not so much free activities that you can do on your own
The Guy at the réception was nice. Localisation of the hostel is good!
