The Mecure hotels around the world can be a bit of hit and miss but this one was great. Beach front, lovely pool, even lovelier staff. Very much value for money and would stay here again.

We had pool access room. That's not much to comment other than everything was EXCELLENT!!! to the size of the room, the beach access, the huge pool, the breakfast. We'll definitely return for the 3rd time to Mercure Samui :-)

Guests should know that staying in the older part of the hotel is nice, but you need to cross the street to get to the pool. Also, book tourist trips elsewhere, as it is cheaper than booking through the hotel.

Excellent hotel located on Chaweng Beach. The courteous staff provided outstanding service, and the meals were exceptional both in the main restaurant and the hotel's various dining options. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone vacationing on Ko Samui.

Not so many dineing options down this end of the beach. Neighbourhood needs an uplift. Need fore more sunbeds on the beach as both buildings guests use the space and people still selfishly put towels on sunbeds and disappear for hours. Hotel needs to get on top of this issue for return business. Dislike other arrogant, entitled guests who treat the great helpful staff so poorly. Stay home! Til you grow up and know how to behave.

Quiet location away from hassle and bustle that's is about 1km North. Helpful reception staff at both locations. City building a lot quieter and more personable.

The stay in the other side of the road, I was not able to double check it. The people in the dining hall. I have been explaining that I will pay and they were insisting I am not allowed since my booking is from the other side of the road. Eventually they understand after sometimes.😐 Bathroom was small and sink was super tiny. I have very few stuff for my toiletries and it almost doesn’t fit in the sink. Cannot be used by 2 persons at a time. Good thing I was alone.

In the middle of the Chaweng beach and still serene. Huge pool. Pool bar, beach bar. Great cocktails. Lots of sun lounger. The glass pool and almost perfect infinity pool. If you need massage, there’s a massage area by the beach where you can hear the calming sound of the waves. Spacious breakfast hall in the beach side but smaller in the road side building. Breakfast was good. Room was spacious, clean and neat. Shower was open style so water can splash literally out. Bathroom complimentary was present. Small wardrobe hanging area. Tv,refrigerator,kettle, coffee and teas were present. Sustainable water bottles. Receptionist GiFt was the best. She was the most helpful and supportive person in the reception.

The breakfast spread could be improved with more options for vegetarians and time slot for it could also be increased. The breakfast time ends at 10:30 but by 10:15 usually there's not much left and re-filled. The counter basically closes down before 10:30.

The property was very well maintained and the staff was extremely attentive and polite. The pool bar was an excellent addition. We had a pool access room and really enjoyed it. Exceeded our expectations. The staff were always open to giving suggestions on what to do and arranged quick taxis at a fair price.

Huge pool area across the full lenght of the property where you always can find shadows. Nice rooms. Great bar and drinks. Breakfast has solid selection and good quality. Perfect beach, especially for kids. We stayed in April and there were always enough sunbeds for everybody even through some badly brought up people Reserve them at early in the morning. You can rent bikes directly at the hotel for fair prices. You have everything very near to the hotel. Restaurants, grocery Shops, atm, street markets, Bars, one of the best fruit Shops I have ever been to. Short drive you will find very busy area with Shops and more Bars and Restaurants.

As others have said, breakfast was nothing special - the bread was a bit stale. There was a serving lady who was quite unfriendly - she never smiled and then she told me off for filling my water bottle (with a clean glass) on our last day. For a 4-star hotel they could have better toilet paper. There was no screen or curtain on the shower, so the bathroom got flooded. Food is very expensive - but there are good restaurants nearby and a small supermarket less than 1min walk away. None of this would stop me from staying again, just more of an FYI

Very comfortable and clean. Room was very large. Great pools* - we stayed in the city wing and I was concerned we would be stopped from using the facilities at the main hotel, but we were treated with the same respect and level of service. The reception staff were great - they helped me with some issues with no fuss. *Just note that the description says there are 2 pools - the main hotel has a very large one, with a slide and views of the ocean, the 2nd pool is at the city wing building across the street.

The breakfast could have more variety and the hotel could have more beach chairs

The hotel is amazing! The pool and the view to the beach is super beautiful and the staff is very helpful. A big plus: the happy hours with cocktails 🍹 the rooms are cleaned and even in the other side of the road the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. I totally recommend this hotel ☺️

There is not much to do in terms of restaurants in the closest vicinity. If you go a little further you will find places to eat but we stayed in areas of the island that were a little better after our stay at Mercure. But if you are looking mostly for the hotel/Beach experience, it is highly recommended.

The hotel is excellent, great beach and swimming pool area, with a pool bar and a slide in the kids pool. The staff was super helpful, the on-site restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. The decor and amenities are excellent. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was also kind enough to arrange a doctor's visit for our 2.5 year toddler.

Thai options at breakfast was limited but still Very good. I would appreciate if the hotel would embrace more the Thai food Culture.

Everything was great!! I don’t understand how people can complain about this hotel. After seeing all walking by is by far the best quality/price ratio in Chaweng. You just need to be aware that there are two buildings, one on the front beach and one in the back. The one in the back is very good as well, almost same high quality of rooms and breakfast but it is the old version, and you just cross the street and can enjoy all the facilities of the new one. I also realized Chaweng beach is the best from 3 main beaches on the Island that we visited. Loved the happy hour at the pool and the amazing Thai massages on the beach.

Only thing we didn't like was not enough sun beds around pool and beach as many guests reserve a bed first thing in the morning and leave their towel there all day even if they don't stay there all day.
