How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Aside from the nearby public transit, we were very turned off by the sleezy activities on the street outside of the hotel. Security on the hotel property however is very good.
A true 5 star hotel with very cool technology, beautiful modern decor and a comfortable room.

Staff were friendly and helped arrange numerous activities for us during our stay. The swimming pool was a tranquil oasis in the middle of the madness that is Bangkok.

In a red light district so the vibe on the street in the evenings was not quite our scene. There’s an alternative exit on to the back street which was helpful.
Lovely hotel, elegant, modern and stylish. Great facilities, comfy bed and good shower. Amazing staff and great poolside service.

We didn’t love the location as we would always need to catch a taxi/train to get to the attractions/bars/restaurants that we wanted to go to (didn’t seem that anywhere was walkable except for the red light district - however we tried to avoid the bars on this street as it was not our scene) We had large stains on the curtains in our room as well as the main bench - didn’t seem to be 5 start standard
The facilities were great including the gym and pool and the bed was very comfortable

Nothing at all.
Hotel was exceptional on first impressions, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was very modern and presentable, me and my partner were ecstatic at the electronic toilets operation. Would definitly stay again. The location is great with many restaurants nearby and access to the BTS sky train within 5 minutes walk.

We had to walk Out to meet our grab motors.
Breakfast was great but the beds need to be switched it’s too soft staff was great and always willing to help out. I love the facilities and location is just 7 minutes grab motor ride to get to central.

Not much to dislike. The pool, is lovely; however, in full view of people at tables? Dreadful design and is difficult to relax there with voyeurs. The shower cubicle could do with hooks.
The interior design is very nice and the beds are very comfortable. Exceptionally clean rooms too.

Didn’t have ironing facility in room
We really enjoyed our stay at Maison. The room was well designed and bed so comfortable, The drinks provided and the coffee machine were an added bonus. Hotel was so close to transport links and being set back from the road was lovely and quiet. Enjoyed the pool after our days out exploring city. Food lovely

Stepping into the room, the toilet bowl was right next to the door, which gave the room sort of a funky smell the moment you enter. The remote control for the toilet bowl was also not functioning. The shower also had no hooks inside which meant that there was no means of hanging a towel in it.
It was clean and comfortable.

Gym is nice, but could be bigger and better equipped. No wardrobe in my room (Junior Suite). Room was rather small for the price.
I am a repeat customer - excellent location close to Nana BTS, night life, shopping malls, though quiet. High room standard.

Nowhere to seat at the smoking area. Now, when cannabis is legal in Thailand, you should provide a place to seat and smoke for your guests. Smoking a joint its not 5 minutes like a cigarette so you just can’t stand. Now you know.
