How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Organisation on tour was poor on the first day and we ran over an hour behind, additional costs for activities on the tour.
Large spacious rooms, clean rooms and common area. Staff are great and can help you sort out so much.

Unfortunately a lot of construction/drilling during the days. But that is probably only a short term thing

Private rooms are underground with no windows. Perfectly clean, comfortable and good aircon, but might feel a little boxed in for some.
Good location in Klong Sok - ideal home base if you are heading to Krabi area after visiting Khao Sok National Park. Free drinking water refills and nice hangout area upstairs. Friendly staff and cute kitten that comes to visit every now and then.

Nothing was perfect
We booked this hostel specifically to go into the kaoh sok national park trip the next day. The private room was perfect everything you need and clean and modern. The common area was great modern and pool table also. The hostel is so close to the main town where everything is but still quiet. When I booked I messaged about the trip and they booked that in for me immediately so I definitely had a place secured and didn’t have to pay till I arrived at the property for the trip and the stay. They also organised my travel to krabi the day I arrived back after the trip. Staff were amazing!

The private room had no windows and smelt damp and felt dingy. The bathrooms were slightly small and had no where to hang things up, they are okay.
We booked our Khao Sok tour with them and it was great and really easy to organise. The common area is comfy and big with free tea&coffee. Good location to town.

The bed was very hard.
Private rooms were very spacious with balconies and quiet for sleeping. Lobby area was nice with plenty of seating, free water and coffee, a fridge to buy other drinks, and a pool table.

The hostel was really cozy. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The private room was good! We booked a "2 days 1 night" trip through the hostel. The arrangements worked and we got from one place to another smoothly.

Does have a pool table but it’s a shame you have to pay for every game. Would be nice to be included.
Good stay, really helpful with booking trip into national park and organising bus to Koh lanta. Very friendly and good price breakfast.

En-suite is as not the cleanest and there was a slight sewage smell. Beds were very firm which made want to out taste.
Really friendly staff who were really helpful organising travel out/inbound and the khao sok national park trip (Coral). Everything was made super easy!

Only thing was there was no kettle but but that wasn’t really an issue.
The staff were very helpful and I was able to book all my activities and trips through them. The rooms were large and clean. It was also very close to good eat outs as well as serving breakfasts.

No bad words to say.
Our room was very comfortable & clean with a lovely view of the scenery. The staff were very friendly & helped us book the overnight stay at Khao Sok National Park & also our onward transfer to Bangkok. Whilst on the trip, we were allowed to leave our bigger luggage at the hostel which was ideal. The next day once we had returned from the lake, we had checked out although the hostel allowed us to stay in the lobby & take a shower in the shared bathroom if needed before our transfer arrived. A short walk to some lovely restaurants & shops.

Modern, super clean, showers and aircon were amazing. Located a short walk down the main strip, nearby plenty of cafes and restaurants. Communal space to hang out and adjacent to other hostels so there were lots of people to mingle with.

There was some building work going on while we stayed here. The noise was quite loud at time but the staff were so apologetic for the noise and I understand in the low season it is probably when properties try to cram in any renovations! It didn’t last too long so only a minor complaint.
Mooky was amazing who works at Chillax! She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best it could be, from organising tours to the lake, a night safari and our onward transfer to Krabi! The rooms were basic as expected and clean!
