A lot of stairs for elderly mother, check in was very slow and didn’t notify us when room was ready. Meals expensive.

Clean and were up to date and fresh, the bed was super comfy, breakfast was amazing, Maggie was super helpful with all tours and anything we needed during our stay . Amazing views and the gardens lovely and green …. Very tropical feel

Reception staff were very good, friendly and efficient. But a lot of the staff were badly trained and badly organised. Maybe the hotel is going through a transition. The place looks a bit tired.

The general and public areas are very clean, the cleanliness in the room is very superficial. We stated for two weeks a d had to ask to get our bed linen changed after the first week. Certain items were just left on the floor (swept under the bed) for several days. However the actual staff are lovely, helpful and very kind. Aqua Aerobic teachers were great fun and a sure fix on the plan.

Comfortable, large rooms, nicely furnished. Large beachfront and plenty of sun beds. Nice choice of restaurants (when available!). The hotel caters for numerous large weddings who take over restaurants and bars at short notice. I appreciate this is lucrative business for the hotel but a bit trying for other guests . The property is on top of a very steep hill, the shuttle service is excellent and very much needed!!

The furnitures are dated and in need of urgent renovations, insects were a problem in the bathroom, no solid doors between the room and bathroom which made using the toilet a bit awkward! But the worst thing was the restaurant we had dinner in the first night! We had dinner in panwa house that was awful experience. The food was very cold and we sent it back to be reheated using microwave in supposedly 5 stars restaurant, table was not set at all although we had a reservation and cutlery was non existent until we asked for it!, the waiter had a problem understanding our orders and had to call someone else and a third person in order to get things going! the toilet had 2 lizards on the walls that scared the life out of me and the bill was over the top and shocking! Not recommended at all. In addition, location is far away from most activities on the island

Staff were very good and helpful but communication was hard sometimes due to language barrier and that was the problem generally in Thailand. The design of the hotel is nice and open. Breakfast was excellent and the view from our suite was amazing.

There wasn’t much choice at breakfast The food at the Bamboo beach bar was overcooked and expensive The food at the nightly buffets was very poor in choice and also over price The beach was nice but very tidal. There wasn’t enough air conditioning The main pool didn’t have enough shade or beds for the number of guests

They provided us with a takeaway breakfast box when we had an early start but it was mainly fruit The villa pool was great and we had a seaview

The location is quite far from nicer beaches, nightlife, airport and the sea wasn’t the best for swimming during our time of visit. The hotel and pool areas needs some updating and would be nice if they had a pool bar. Dinner seemed a bit over priced so we had dinner in small restaurants outside the hotel

The family suite was very spacious with a connecting room for kids. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good and the al a carte menu was decent. The main pool is a good size and was used frequently by our kids. The beach was lush and nicely shaded by palms but the sea wasn’t suitable for swimming at all times due to the tide often out and some rocks close to shore. Close to the night markets and old town for exploring

The check in process was a nightmare... we had specifically asked for a king bed but were given a room with twin beds... it took time to sort it out and we were given a new room... but the room was very far from everything... no lift to get there... you had to take a flight of stairs then a lift and then another flight of stairs and a walk to get to the hotel lobby. The rooms while very nice and spacious could have used a bit more maintenance.

Amazing breakfast buffet.... huge rooms ... Great location and private beach ... Good facilities... Accommodating staff...

The hotel does not maximise what is has - it is really lacking a bar area and there are obvious places to do this which is such a shame. The property is looking a bit tired in places so could be quite pot luck as to what room you get. It is a big hotel so that does come with quite a bit of noise and a pretty manic breakfast time. Only used it to get changed in for a later check out but the whole gym area is really poor so if that’s something you’re looking for I would not recommend (rusty looking equipment, no air con and a shower area in major need or a refurb).

Room was lovely with fab views (we were upgraded), pool area is great and the beach is also really nice. It is a beautiful setting in a quiet area of Phuket. Hotel offers a free, frequent shuttle bus into the local area - only 5mins away but a v steep hill otherwise!

The view from our room was very disappointing over looking working buildings. If we had been on the 3rd floor I think it would have been very different.

The hotel is stunning and the location with its private beach is fantastic. The staff were friendly and very attentive.

There was not a lot of information about room location (which block) when we first booked a room online. I'm sure this would have helped us make a much better and informed room/location decision instead of having to ask and pay for a better room/location after we arrived. The place is great but really needs more lifts, escalators etc to help guests navigate the steep slopes.

We liked the breakfasts, the general relaxed ambience of the place and the private beach.

    - the hotel didn’t take into consideration my earlier request for rooms with separate beds, so we ended up having two rooms with king beds, which is disappointing, taking into account that i made this request a while back. - the hotel is dated, but is maintained in a very good condition. but some things, like shower and bathroom need an immediate update. - Food experience could be better. Breakfast has a wide selection of dishes, but it lacks some basic things, like porridge, and plain yogurt (the one they call plain is in fact sweet). I never have high expectations about the coffee at the breakfast, but theirs is simply disgusting. it is badly overburnt. - Dinner food was good. but the service is bad. they brought all dishes separately, some with 15 minute intervals. Staff doesn’t know their menu, and cannot explain what is what. Needless to say it is greatly overpriced

Overall this is a very nice hotel, with good staff and good facilities. beautiful location with nice views. You can swim at the beach all year long (no big waves here), but only at high tide. There ‘s a free shuttle to get to the other side of the small peninsula where the hotel is located.

You have to book for dinner, so we always ate outside. It is not a big problem, but if you want to eat at the hotel you must book well in advance. Unless you're flexible and don't mind eating at 9. Also, I would say the staff at the reception and bar at the beach were great. But the staff at the main restaurants sometimes seemed a bit not bothered.

The location is amazing. The beach is private and beautiful. Breakfast is great. Family room is very spacious and comfortable. I also suggest to take a trip to Coral Island, which is organized by the hotel and leaves from the hotel jetty. It's amazing.
