“All was very much up to expectation”
“It was a great place in the middle of Ambleside. The room was really cozy with nice little touches and a very comfortable bed. Nice and bright room too. Enough storage for a couple of days definitely. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, thank you! Very picturesque location too!”
“Room was clean, staff polite bed comfortable”

“Location. Friendly hosts. Use of a lounge with views.”
“Great place, super location, superb beds, breakfast was excellent”
“Quiet location within short walking distance to the city center. Hosts are welcoming , very friendly, and will give you good advice on local hikes. Double thumbs up for cleanliness considering the fact that this is a dog friendly place. We were staying in the family room on a top floor, which has a breathtaking mountain view. The beds were comfortable. We were pleased with powerful water pressure in the shower. Soft mountain water did magic with my hair. There was a smart TV in our room, so we could stream Netflix, YouTube, and other favorite apps in the evening. We also enjoyed homemade breakfast with French pressed coffee in the morning. Nearby street parking could be a bit challenging, but we've managed to find a spot every time within a few mins walks to the property. There is also a large paid parking lot in the city center within 5 mins walk. Overall, it was a very pleasurable stay. Will definitely come back.”
“Our stay at Glencree absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.”
“Lovely accommodation with friendly staff. Would happily stay again.”
