How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We enjoyed the hotel!
It was a new hotel, all amenities were fantastic & the staff were very helpful. The breakfast offered a really good selection. Highly recommended. However, just be aware that the location is slightly away from the river. Thus, it makes for a good uphill walk. However, if needed, ubers are pretty inexpensive, and the hotel is definitely away from the busy touristy areas that suited our party of 6.

I would have liked more hot food option for breakfast. There's no gym in the hotel. Not a lot of choices in the menu should you decide to eat at the rooftop restaurant.
The staff was great, breakfast was good with a lot of options, although it's best to be early as the buffet area gets crowded. Good location.

There was a coffee machine in the room which I really liked. The room was clean and nice, with pleasant colors, a comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Very good location of the hotel - next to the metro station and public transport, close to the center, but also located in a quiet neighborhood. From the terrace of the hotel you can see an incredible view of the city. If I travel to Porto again, I would definitely choose the same hotel. Thank you for our nice stay!

Clean and comfortable room. Near to the city centre - walkable distance. It is also very near the train station. Staff are also friendly and helpful, offered some places to go when she knows that we are heading to Douro Valley the next day.

The roof top terrace wasn’t very busy at all during my stay but the service was really slow every time. I only wanted a drink and would have to keep going in to chase them to get served.
Wow. Stunning hotel. Perfect location. Very modern and clean. The bed was so comfortable I took ear plugs and had the best sleeps I’ve ever had. The roof top terrace has some of the best views of Porto. The breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. It was amazing value for money. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Excellent breakfast. Good location for access to public transport but also within easy reach of the city centre on foot. The hotel is well-equipped and very modern. Good views over Porto from the rooftop bar/restaurant. Staff took the time to be helpful and give advice when needed.

This hotel is a real gem!Beautiful design Inside and out! The view from the roof top is amazing and the swimming pool was perfect! The bed was so comfortable. If I didn't have to catch an early flight I would sleep in all day. The shower was brilliant. One of those that rains on you. I will definitely stay there again!

Great hotel, staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar and pool area was fantastic and a lovely place to chill out after a day of walking the city. The rooms were very comfy.

The door is not sound proof, you hear people talking in the hallways. It’s a bit far from all the attractions, but it’s no big deal.
Reception is responsive, breakfast tastes good.

This hotel was a treat. The staff was very nice; the rooftop terrace and bar were small, but welcoming; the pool was tiny, but looked inviting; the bed was king size and firm; and the towels were the largest and fluffiest we’ve ever had in a hotel. Instant coffee and tea, and a bottle of water, were refreshed daily. There was also a minibar for a fee. There were lots of hangars in the closet, and no drawers. There was a safe, blackout curtains, good lighting, shampoo, bath gel, body lotion, a comb, a shower cap, and a bath sponge. Water pressure and temperature of the shower were great after a long day of walking. Note there are no self-service washers/dyers for guests if that’s what you’re looking for, but I think they have laundry service for a fee. They also have a restaurant onsite. We didn’t try it, but drinks in the rooftop bar were good. Location is close to the Trinidade metro station, the Negra Cafe for breakfast, about 10 minutes walk to the Continente grocery and about 15 minutes to the Sao Bento train station.

We really enjoyed our stay. Located in a really quiet side street with friendly personell. The bed was bigger than 180cm and comfortable. The metro is just around the corner, otherwise its a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of Porto.

No view at all from the room. But as a little compensation there is a perfect view from the rooftop terrace.
Good location, very helpful and friendly staff (many thanks to everyone, especially to the breakfast crew - you are perfect!) The room was big and comfortable, the bed was extremely big and good. The breakfast was tasty. There is a wonderful terrace on the roof with swimming pool and sun beds.
