Strong smell of chlorine in some corridors; atmosphere felt a bit like a 'Butlins' offer, ie basic, average. Very hot & stuffy in bar.

Super room; large room, big bed, lovely bathroom. Breakfast was a varied offer; evening buffet fairly standard offer and a bit of the cool side.

A lot of seagulls around the pool and buildings - not much can be done but could be a nuisance.

The poor insulation and the open atrium meant that sounds such as staff or early risers reverberated and sleep was disturbed. The pillows were of the foam chip variety and very uncomfortable.

The location was good, a short walk to the boat that takes you to the wonderful beach. Nice pool and lots of sun beds.

Breakfast room gets very busy, requires a lot of attentiveness. Pool area also crowded, loungers 3 rows deep. Hotel itself a little soulless.

We had to pay to use the safe which I thought was unnecessary and would think it is in the interests of the hotel to not charge for that as results in less things being stolen or blame being put on the hotel. I would have liked if there were more toiletries in the bathroom - there was only bath gel, would have been nice to have a body cream and a few extras.

The location was great. Room was well sized and comfortable and good breakfast spread.

Breakfast is very loud. Too many hard materials and many people. The pigeons . The management need to take measures. The birds are laying eggs in the flower and plant holders. There must be solutions. Every year the same.

The jacuzzi wasn't working and the spa is a little disappointing but great pool with plenty of surrounding space and beds.

I didn't like that a double bed was two single beds pushed together , leaving an uncomfortable bump in the middle of the joined matress. I didn't like that although there was a mini bar in the room there was no facility to make a tea or coffee when wished. Coffee on the balcony is a highlight of a holiday for me,but I wouldn't call room service to bring a coffee at 5.30 in the morning! Also the room has sliding glass doors to the balcony but as we found, to our detriment, no handle or safety latch to stop from getting locked out on the balcony. Also you could not request an iron from reception but was encouraged to use their ironing service. While this could end up being expensive it also is inconvenient and not immediate. When on holiday I don't always know what I'm doing in the next hour so grabbing a dress to iron out the wrinkles for an impromptu night out is a regular occurrence .

The breakfast buffet was very good, with great variety of foods and also served until 10.30. The hotel itself is well kept and lots of interesting bits and pieces of furniture around lobby and halls . The lifts were quick and always working. The room was clean,comfortable and decent size. Cleaned and toiletries replenised everyday.The shower in the ensuite was powerful with hot water available at any time.The staff were friendly and very helpful. The pool is lovely with plenty of sunbeds and easy access to toilet and restaurant facilities. The wellness center provides a great massage! There is an indoor pool but as the weather was good we did not use it. The hotel is in an excellent location just a few minutes walk from harbour, restaurants and shops. It was restful and calm at night.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing.

This is a surprisingly large hotel - you'll get your steps in for the day just walking to your room and back! The underground car park is free and also massive. We parked near the entrance and then discovered it was a long walk to reception. And it was a long walk from here to the dining room. But the room (view over the pool) was large and had all the necessary facilities. It was only a short walk from the hotel into the centre of Tavira.
