Had a lovely stay at the Faroway Hostel, its a really charming hostel, was very relaxed and chilled out and the room was stylish and cosy in a bohemian kind of way. Beautiflly central location and amazing roof terrace where you can easily while away and evening listening to a top the quality sounds of street musicians playing below. All the staff very friendly and helpful - highly recommend it

5 people in a room and 26c smell and snoring, one window looking onto the main street, loud music and noise until 2am , window closed room very hot and stuffy, window open very very loud.

Location 100% lock on main street door not locking , small shove and it would open, male dorm , door not secured , anybody had access, was very conscious of my passport and valuables. Kitchen had coffee machine , you shop for your food, lovely host Miguel, great fun.

There was a lack of hot water and not much cutlery.

The location was wonderful and staff so lovely and accommodating. Rooftop terrace was lovely too and the women’s dormitory and access to lockers made me feel very safe and comfortable.

Missing window, only kind of wooden shades to close (you hear the noise from the street like you would sleep in the middle of the street) No towels provided ( u can rent for 2,50 per towel) Room smells wet/mold and you here the noise from in and outside a lot. Toilets and showers are only upstairs and could be a bit cleaner.

There needs to be signage on street level to indicate the hostel. It's the red doors. I had to ask the shops next door to help me find the hostel.

The toilets were on a different floor and hence a bit far from the room.

The hostel was close to the sea front and promenade. A lot of the tourist attractions and the train station were within walking distance. The hosts were nice and the beds in the room weren’t bunk beds but single beds so it was more comfortable.

If you are coming in the off season you need to message the property with a precise check in time - we selected check in from 2-3pm and assumed this would be fine. We did not see a message from the property asking to confirm an exact time. This meant that there was no one on reception when we came not long after 2pm and a guest let us in. We had to wait for almost an hour for the reception person to come back to the property.

The location is really good as it is right next to the old town and the port. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops within metres of the hostel. We got a very spacious double room with an additional single bed in it. This was a private room with a window onto the street. The room was decorated nicely, had a tv, plug sockets, lamps, tall ceilings, and a plug in heater. There was a really nice rooftop terrace for sunbathing, a kitchen, and three shared bathrooms (mens, womens and mixed). The owner was really nice.

Not much hot water for showers - it takes about a minute to heat up and only lasts a few minutes. Fine if you know in advance, but not great when it goes cold on you unexpectedly. Maybe look at some way to do self check-in? I sent my arrival time in advance, but there was nobody there and no answer on any of the phone numbers. I didn't have to wait long, but it was a little stressful.

Nice, relaxed hostel. Comfy room and bed. Central location and not too noisy at night. Lovely old building and very nicely decorated (I loved the shade of orange on the doors and windows).

Some areas could do with a refurbishment touch but the vibe itself outweighs this minor con.

Very interesting design of the facilities, rooftop terrace with plenty of space, rooms contain normal beds rather than the common stacked hostel beds, bedrooms are spacious, kitchen is plentiful with a coffee machine, teas to choose from, some spices etc. Lovely host and overall very nice facilities for socialising. Great location right in the centre by the harbour.

I was never told how to check out of the place. Which isn’t a big problem since I didn’t have to catch a bus before 3 hours after checkout - but could have been a problem for other people.

It’s a cute small space. For the money it’s really good. The bed is comfy and the staff is very nice☺️.

The bed was uncomfortable and noisy.

Basic Breakfast was available like bread, butter, coffee in the kitchen. The Location was central and at walking distance to all the touristic places. Value for money hostel for short stays.
