Nothing, it was all amazing.. I have been to many 5 star resorts all over the world but this 4 star resort had the best customer service I have ever experienced. I will definitely recommend you to everyone.

I just want to thank everyone at NH Portimao Marina Hotel for looking after me and my daughter from 20-23 May 2024. Everyone was so helpful from the staff at the reception who went above and beyond for us, to the guy who works at the emergency team who came to help call ambulance when my daughter shoved a Lego up her nose (sorry I don’t know your name but you know who you are). I also want to thank the whole team at The Marina Deck restaurant for doing EVERYTHING in their power to help me and my daughter. I can’t express how grateful I am, honestly I am writing this with a tear in my eye from how grateful I am. My 4 year old daughter has autism as well as coeliac disease so feeding her is very difficult as she can only eat gluten free and she can have quite bad tantrums when she is not comfortable. On day 1 when this happened at Dinner the lady Maria I think her name was (curly hair and glasses) was so so so helpful and the gentleman who worked with her that day. They did everything they could when they saw I was struggling with my daughter. Maria then spoke to her colleagues to make sure they all know my daughter has special needs and therefore they did everything to accommodate her. On my third dinner visit a lady called Carla helped us because she was advised by Maria of my daughters condition, she gave us a table at the back in a quiet area and she served the buffet dinner to us directly. She put the tv on for my daughter on a cartoon channel and asked the chef to make my daughter gluten free potato chips (fries) with gluten free ketchup as she saw I was struggling to feed her what was on the menu. These two ladies Maria and Carla deserve big praise for their amazing efforts and I left them both a tip with their colleague at the front desk so I hope they receive it. Again thank you to everyone in NH Portimao Resort. I couldn’t be more grateful to all of you for making my daughters holiday an amazing one.

Feels like it is in need of a bit of a spruce up in areas. I think they are mid doing that though. Can be a little loud in the evenings. We could hear music 1 or 2 nights. Not too loud so didn’t bother us too much but there is a road nearby that had loud bikes going up and down. The doors aren’t designed to keep out noise. The pool isn’t heated and was therefore quite cold for young kids.

Beautiful pool area. Lovely rooms and balcony. We moved from marina sun to marina beach and glad we did as there would be a longer walk from there to the beach area. The beds were super comfortable. Really interesting incentive to reduce the amount of housekeeping. If you don’t need housekeeping some of the days of your stay you get a free drink. Breakfast was possibly the best brekkie I’ve ever had in a hotel. Super close to the beach and the main road in Praia da rocha ( bar the hills and steps) and super close to the beach club. They also provided us with a cot for our baby.

Overall good stay! Mattress was springy and a little uncomfortable (not too bad.) Lighting options in the room were a little dim for my liking, but not a big deal. Restaurant on site with good food.

Nice hotel/resort. Pool was nice and quiet, perhaps due to off season. Good hotel, nice rooms.

We had an ant and insect invasion in our bathroom every day. Told cleaners, reception & nothing was done. I expected some kind of apology or reimbursement but nothing. Cleaners just cleaned the dead insects daily. Also booked a marina view room and had a pool room instead.

Great facilities, wonderful pool area, great buffet breakfast. Amazing location for Dnb all stars festival. Very friendly staff.

The only niggle was the cooked breakfast option wasnt the best by the rest of the breakfast option made up for that. Tbh you could eat anything sat looking at that view ❤️

The view is second to none the staff were super friendly helpful and accommodating. The staff that operate the buggy to and fro were so helpful and informative and and all round good laugh. Would definitely stay again

Food and drink a little on the expensive side

The staff were warm and welcoming. They drop you to your room on a little golf buggy and take you to breakfast the same way. Could not do enough for you! Lots of choice at breakfast and the views of the marina deck was lovely. Would recommend and stay again.

Lovely hotel and perfect location for our trip, the apartment was lovely and my friends double rooms were also nice. Loved the breakfast, so much to choose from. Would love to stay here again next year and bring the whole family too

No sockets near a mirror

The location is quiet but 10 minutes walk away you have great access to plenty of bars and restaurants. The facilities is very clean and the breakfast has something for everyone

The kitchenette area was nice to have but it would have been even nicer if tea towels, washing up liquid and sponge were provided.

Everything, good location close to the beach, everything within walking distance, Ubers are super cheap, nice spacious and clean room with small kitchenette, staff were lovely and helpful, nice pool area, lovely views of the marina. I can imagine how busy and popular the hotel gets in the summer.

I have to drive my car between my room and reception. Of course hotel has transfer - golf eletric car, but i like to have autonomy and not always asking for transport to go to reception or breakfast.

Great breakfast, but it was long distance from my studio. I don't appreciate the concept just for a night.

The cleaning of our room was not the same time every day. We had to make our own bed which i didn't mind but the dishes we also had to wash. I would suggest to put dishwash liquid in the rooms with additional cloths.

The breakfast was amazing and my husband enjoyed it every morning. Just a pity we couldn't take anything to our room as i am not a 'big' eater. We did not make use of the pool cos the weather was too cold. Location quite far from where we wanted to be.

The kitchenette is super basic. There were no tea towels, washing up liquid and only one pan you could use for soup. It's not much use other than making a salad or sandwich or heating up your take away. The marina and parking lot next to the hotel is public space and several times during my stay, people would take their cars for a spin and play loud music at night. If you are a light sleeper like me, not ideal for a good night's sleep.

Unique hotel next to the marine with colorful buildings. I was in one of the Marina Sun rooms which is about a 7 minute walk from the main building. Balcony in the sun was wonderful with a view of the marina. The location is a bit far from everything, but not a problem for me as I like to walk and the quiet. They have a golf cart service to bring you to the beach, which is great. The room was sunny and large with a comfy bed and sofa bed. Breakfast is excellent. So many different options, warm and cold, sweet and savoury . I was a bit sceptical at first, but they even have a lot of vegan options. Perfect stay for a short stay in Portimao!

I liked everything about the property but would recommend since the rooms have a small kitchen to cook in…to be provided with a dish cloth and dish soap.

Loved the location and a very nice property. The pool area is very nice and a nice walkway around the Marina. Beach is close to walk to as well as restaurants and shops. Property is very clean and staff are excellent. The breakfast is excellent…a large variety of foods and very impressive
