The complex was very good however every night there were about four dogs barking incessantly from surrounding properties for approximately 2+ hours from 8:00 until 10:00 pm or later.

The apartment was outside the main building and very private. The place was very clean and comfortable and a short walk from the train station

Try not to get a room in the bottom (basement) floor; since the floors are wooden you will hear a lot of stomping around at night, children running around, etc

Great location and beautiful old house, warm and welcoming staff with comfortable amenities. Although we didn’t get to try it out, the reading area in the main house looks comfortable too

The shower was very awkward. The hand-held shower head constantly fell out of the wall attachment making it almost impossible to shower comfortably.

Excellent location, short walk to the lovely Cafe Saudade, train station and central old town. Pretty grounds and architecture.

There were not enough hooks for towels in the shower, especially when there are more than two guests. There is a slight musty smell as well.But it didn't spoil our stay. .

Very nice staff !we were extremely pleased that our room was ready when we arrived at noon !!! . Helen was at the reception to greet us and gave us very useful information on Sintra. Theresa is also very nice and friendly. The settings of Villa dos Poetas is lovely. We had such a nice cozy terrace in front of our room. Parking on site very secure is also a +. Location was great, next to the train station and 10 minute walk from the city center.

Shower was a bit difficult to use, but it didn't really affect our stay.

The restroom was a little odd, but I'm sure that is due to retrofitting into such an old building. It would have been good to include wash cloths not just bath towels. I did not know until asking around that wash cloths are not normal in Portugal whereas they are a staple to Americans.

There was breakfast available each morning. The house was gorgeous and quaint. I loved staying somewhere with such history. Also, the staff was above and beyond excellent.

Clean, spacious, close to Train Station. Private parking. We arrived early at 1 pm, and the room was ready to check in. Allow us to leave the car at accommodation after check out.

Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken so the room was a bit uncomfortable. It would have been nice if this was communicated. The pool would have been a lovely bonus but not really usable at this time of the year.

Great location, lovely staff, and comfortable beds. Common area was very nicely decorated with antiques. Very secure area with keyless entry gate. Staff allowed us to park our car at property for most of the next day as we had the Pena Palace tour booked for early afternoon. That was very much appreciated. Staff provided great local recommendations for restaurants.

It would be great if there is an electric kettle inside the room.

I spent two nights at the guest house, which was easy to find and conveniently located with a short walk to the old town. The room was comfortable and the facilities were well-maintained. The staff service was also attentive and responsive. A lovely stay!

Super great and sweet house. Lady who welcomed us was very nice and helpful to us. Room was clean and cozy. Love your house and garden. Really nice location for visiting Sintra. Great restaurants near accomodation. Quiet place. Good breakfast. I am very thankful you let us park our car after check out for a few hours!

Perhaps the bathroom could have been updated but everything was clean and in good working order.

Very friendly staff not only made us feel welcome but helped to recommend activities and restaurants for our stay in the area, all 10/10!
