Location - on a quiet, narrow, cobblestone street with views of the terracotta rooftops below. Lovely vista. Historic building with a beautiful contemporary design. Excellent, attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Short walk to restaurants, bars, and attractions. Rooftop bar was delightful.

Breakfast. Coffee. Very disappointing. The spread looks good but it’s very basic. The coffee is terrible. I would ask for a double espresso with some hot water. Still not the best. They sometimes ask if you want eggs prepared by the chef. They came out cold. The blonde server is definitely not genuine. She’s being professional but you can tell that she does not like her job.

Great location either direction will lead you to a landmark. The taxi driver did not want to drive down the narrow alleyway. May have to walk a few mins if that’s the case. Rooms were very clean and the from staff were very helpful and informative.

Excellent location. Close to sights (if you are willing to climb stairs and walk hills—true of most of Porto). It quiet and feels like you are away from tourists. We didn’t realize at first breakfast was included and it is a real plus. Room was wonderful. There is a large rooftop area with nice views of the river. Staff was fabulous. Modern amenities within ancient walls.

The Restaurant for an evening meal was very slow and overpriced. I would not recommend eating there.

The breakfast was excellent and the location. The old building was very well re-furbished and created a nice atmosphere and character.

Navigation of a larger vehicle up the alley to the hotel was a challenge - the alley up to the hotel was VERY narrow Probably would have left our van at the bottom of the alley and got hotel to help bring the luggage up the alley They helped take our luggage down the alley when we left and it worked out great They may want to advertise that

Our only issue was that the pillows could have been of higher quality. The location also meant the quickest route to the centre was up quite a steep walk.

Our room was very comfortable and the bed was amazing. There could have been one more overhead light, which would make it easier to see into cabinets and shelves. But overall, it is a lovely, comfortable hotel.

We loved the old features such as the walls and arches while the hotel itself is modern and luxurious. The staff were wonderful and very helpful with booking a train trip through the Duoro Valley. And the shower with the rainfall shower head was heaven, especially after long days walking around the city.

I stayed in three different cities while on this trip and it was by far my favorite hotel. The staff were genuinely eager to assist me. The bed was fantastic and the breakfast was positively delicious. I will most certainly be returning.

The menus, like most Portuguese restaurants, are heavy on meat and cod. The wine ‘pours’ were the smallest of any place we went to in Portugal.

A stunning boutique hotel. The location is great, we walked everywhere. The room was modern, clean and confortable. The lobby, bar and dining are very nicely decorated. Breakfast was great and the staff working there are very friendly and helpful. We loved our time here.

Absolutely nothing.

The location is top notch. We walked everywhere. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The lobby and dining room are stunning, with old stonework contrasting nicely with modern decor. The breakfast buffet was quite varied with both warm dishes and outstanding breads and pastries. The service is superb. We travel a lot and stay in comparable luxury boutique hotels and found that the staff at this hotel was well above average, always smiling and caring, providing personalized service and attention. We absolutely loved this hotel!
