room was extremely small, you could hardly walk around the bed. only one power point, furnuture quite wobbly and shabby. there was an odd smell - luckily we had big windows. shared bathroom was not a problem, but again - equipped rather basic. a surprising plus was the existing hair dryer

The room seems in better conditions in the pictures. It has no space to move around in, there is no furniture to hang and put clothes on (nor space). there is only one bathroom for three rooms. The tenants of one room in particular often occupy it for a long time and also often leave it dirty.

The position of the apartment is the only positive aspect.

It smelled like a horse stable, there was no hot water and the bed was so broken that it broke apart several times during the night while I was sleeping. The balcony door could not be locked and the staff did nothing to improve the situation. For 5€ it would have been OK because of the location, but for this absolute rubbish "room" the owners wanted 70€ a night. Booking should take rooms like this out of their programme immediately and remove the owner from their file. That was a Rip-off

Apart from Urine Alley, see above, my negative comments regard exclusively ROOM 2. f I had known it had NO WINDOWS before giving them my credit card, I never would have booked the room. No windows, no ventilation, no smoke alarm, no closet -- at least, it was a shallow niche with no hangers -- no hooks to hang things, no furniture. The room was clean and the mattress good, but it was a fire trap and not at all safe: the old wooden door to it had glass or plastic panes, very easy to break, by accident or criminal design. The bathroom was appalling, with a door with panes, no shower curtain so you could be seen taking a shower. The 'kitchen' was another closet with no ventilation, clearly illegal. There was a blackout on my fourth night in the neighborhood and, having no windows, I was plunged into utter darkness at 9:30 pm. Dangerous!

Great location near Rossio, but you need to pass through a street I called Urine Alley to get to it. When I was finally able to change my room, number 2, after four days, the manager of the place up at the restaurant was marvelous: savvy, helpful, human, fantastic. Also, when I finally saw the other side of the landing with rooms 3, 4 and 5, they were decent. The problem is Room 2, budget travelers!

- very very dirty (the room and especiallty the bathroom) - i got bedbugs - very loud - wifi did not work at all (even after I told them) - the bedsheets smelt kind of chemical, but in a toxic way - bad smeel in the whole apartment - bad price-performance ratio if you look at what you pay, what is promised and what you eventually get - uncomfortable bed - dirty wall, dorty floor - a waterpipe directly over the head of the bed which would be extremely loud everytime somebody went to the bathroom

The place is good located so that you can reach everything quite quick by walking or public transport.

Don't be suprised with the noises during the night. This is the heart of Lisbon!

If you JUST want to have a place to sleep in the very center of Lisbon - this is a good place, if you want to spend some time in your room or work remotely from it - forget. There is a great Mozambican (is this a correct word?) Restaurant just downstairs, I really recommend it. Bathroom is not the coziest one, but it was clean and for me it was enough to take a bath, but my girlfrend didn't like it at all.
