Exterior needed a revamp, difficult to find due to signage not facing the road if driving. A large sprawling mausoleum of a place quite soulless. No bar or restaurant is open for the evenings.

The room was clean and functional but the building in general is in need of refurbishment and, in places, general repair. During our stay there was no bar/restaurant available outside breakfast hours and no tea/coffee facilities were provided in the room. The building is more like a conference centre with rooms for delegates as opposed to a purpose built hotel - giving the impression of a previous life as an educational or religious establishment. The furniture in the rooms is dated and in need of replacement or updating. The walls are bare and a tiny TV is situated up near the ceiling. In the bathroom the decor and facilities are equally dated and in need of upgrading. Although we stayed for 4 nights, apart from sleeping, we spent little time in the hotel. To be honest there was nothing in the hotel or our room to encourage us to spend any more time there. There was no safe in the room, but a very limited number of safe boxes are available at reception. We were fortunate to secure one for the duration of our stay. Due to the construction of the building noise from the wide corridors travels along the passageways and is quite noticeable in the bedroom.

Staff were friendly and provided clear instructions about a late check in due to a flight delay. The room and the public areas were kept very clean. The breakfast was reasonable with a decent continental selection of fruit, cold meats, bread and pastries, accompanied by a cooked option of scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon. An air conditioning unit had been recently fitted to the room - which would be essential in the hotter summer months.

The bedrooms and corridors were very dated and didn't live up to what I'd consider 3 star.. Building gave the impression it had bern repurposed and was not originally a hotel. Exterior of building is exceptionally large and has brutalist 60s architecture look to it, especially when you see how it sits on the hill. Interior feels like hospital or nursing home. Hotel makes it very clear in communication that there is no A/C. This was not an issue when I travelled in April but I note the room does have an A/C unit so it is either not working or they are in process of installing. Might be worth checking if travelling in summer months. The rooms need refurbishment. The bedroom is dark with stained brown carpets. The bathroom continues the hospital vibe with very utilitarian sanitary ware. The shower was disappointingly weak and relied on gravity morre than pressure. It was always hot though. And as noted already the rooms were cleaned every day.

Breakfast was excellent. A good continental buffet selection. Breakfast room had brilliant views. Made for a good start to the day. Reception, housekeeping, and catering staff were all friendly. Rooms were cleaned daily

Breakfast was excellent, it exceeded my expectations. However, it is important to know that if you plan to stay in the room for a long time (working or whatever), I wouldn't recommend the place. Otherwise, it is good value for money.

The hotel's structure is really good, there is a restaurant for the lunch (good prices and good food). There is a parking lot in the hotel.

The washroom was old, and there were molds on the tiles in the shower. Broken tiles on the balcony. There was no AC in the room. Asked for an electric fan and was told they didn't have any. Had to open the door and kept it ajar for air to come in, which unfortunately caused mosquitoes to get in the room and left me with some nasty mosquito bites.

Staff were nice. Thank you Henrique, Diogo and to the Housekeeping lady. Checked out early and they gave to go bags with water, juice and fruits when asked if possible to do so since we were short on time. Breakfast was sufficient and I enjoyed the view from the dining hall. The location is not far from the tourists areas and you can walk or uber short distances. I think the hotel used to be really good but it lacks upkeep from management. Overall an okay stay.

Breakfast was a bit samey and a bit limited for my taste -so only had breakfast on my first two days.

Nice clean hotel, simple rooms. Very good staff, friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Good area, not too lively so good for a peaceful nights sleep. Huge bed.
