Room was very spacious, open and clean. Bathrooms were very clean aswell. Really enjoyed my stay as it was also located very central.

The 6 person room was a little small for 6 people. I saw some of the other rooms and it was small in comparison. No air con, I think it might be a bit uncomfortable in the summer.

I haven't stayed in a hostel for a while so I was a bit nervous. Casa d'Alagoa was such a lovely stay. The receptionists were always helpful and friendly and the reception area is stocked with essentials (beer on tap)! There is a dinner and drinks every night which was a good way to meet other travellers. The location was great and in a pretty area of Faro. The beds were comfy and the curtain was great for privacy. It was all super clean and the bathrooms were nice too. I was able to leave my stuff in the room after check out and use all the common areas until i left which was a bonus. Loved the roof terrace!

It is impossible to sleep on a top bed without proper air-conditioned room, noisey fan on all night next to my head.

Location and staff great. Hostel needs better AC, because what is worth night in a lovely place without a good sleep?!

the loud music, played by the staff, at night ( not after 23.00but in the 4 mix bedroom you just lay straight in their music, the entrance and they just do not notice that if you already went to bed early you are in the middle of that). In general a lack of sensitivity to how much space to take and how to take care not to bother the guests...before someone comes to ask... The bath, in which to take a shower couldnt deal with the waterflood, You stand in the water... The noise from people upstairs bonqing on the floor...while walking...was loud.

It is really a great place, comfy and new, clean and bright.Very central, in the old city..service good, info on the wall, kitchen good equipped, place to hang out and to work, even outside garden place, really comfy and nice..

Bathroom didn't have hot water. That was a mild inconvenience.

The hostel was superb. The rooms were clean and had all the facilities one may need. The best thing was there was a mirror in the the room. The bathroom was very nice and beautiful. The hostel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hostel has many common areas where we can chill. A kitchen will all the appliances and free coffee and tea. The happy hour system was a cherry on top. The best thing was the dinners organized by the hostel.

The staff are friendly, everything is very clean and there are awesome dinners and pub crawls you can join at the sister hostel!! Chaves is a legend. The location is great, a short walk to the bus station, markets, bars, the port and the Cathedral.

The loud music at the lobby at night. They have to be considerate even though there are some happy hour but be mindful there are also people who need to take a rest early. The room key? What is that for when the door is not even closed. Anyone can come in and out.

We had a lovely if brief stay at Casa d'Alagoa which is a well-equipped hostel near central Faro. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hostel has plenty of facilities and social spaces - bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and outdoor areas including a roof terrace. All in all, we had a great stay and would highly recommend!

Everything that you might think you woukd need is actually available. Common areas inside and in the inner yard are nice and spacious so you can chill, cook or have a drink The staff is really helpful and smiling.

The hot water in one bathroom was very unstable and was even gone in the middle of the shower. But I have told the front desk and I believe they will have it fixed :)

It is a very lovely hostel. Lots of common area and the bathrooms were very clean. The staff were very nice and helpful as well. Would like to stay there again when I visit Faro next time
