I had a lovely couple of days with my daughter before the rest of her family arrived for half term holidays. Time spent with your grown up children on their own is precious - and Bel Mar was just right.

Hydrotherapy pool jets were a bit off. They either didn’t turn on or were so forceful it was a bit difficult to relax under them.

Beautiful property, ocean view and walking distance to the beach. Short drive (8min) to downtown Lagos. Lovely pool, liked that there was an adults only pool. Included access to hydrotherapy pools. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, endless options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free onsite parking.

Limited parking when fully occupied and garage had tiny spots with concrete pillars in each side of car . Staff were not the friendliest and checked out man was rather curt and negative . It wasn’t the “warmest” place I ever stayed at .

Great location by beach. Nice amenities within property . Parking though if parking in their ramp very very tight quarters so try to avoid it. Nice path for walking from Beach to resort . Restaurant at resort if needed however the restaurant by the beach was recommended by tour operator as having the best fish in Lagos . Spacious apartments . Clean . Beautiful surrounding.

Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment, very stylish and huge! 2 minute walk to the best beach with 2 beach restaurants Big beach with plenty of space. Approximately 25 min walk to Lagos. Local supermarket 10 min walk away.

We stayed in a suite facing the pool. Beautiful room with all the amenities you could possibly need with a fully stocked kitchen. Patio was a perfect touch with a table & 2 chairs (even a clothes rack to dry your bathing suites and towels). Unfortunately, we were there in late April and the weather was not warm enough to swim. Walking distance to beach. Parking is at the facility, which is a plus. We would definitely stay at the Belmar again!

There wasn’t much to dislike, a slightly later checkout as standard would have been ideal but I can understand they have a lot of rooms to clean before more people check in.

Perfect location for a beach trip but still easily accessible to Lagos by walking and with cheap Ubers. There were so many pools to choose from, I really liked that our apartment was over looking a pool that you could only get to through our building. The spa facilities were also lovely, we felt very welcomed during our stay, the staff were very friendly. Also, although checkout was a bit early, we were able to leave our cases while we made the most of our last day in Lagos.

Not a major deal but beach is a 5 minute walk on cobblestones and uphill when you return. You need a taxi or car to get to anywhere so unless you want to stay at the resort and restaurant keep that in mind.

- There should be maintenance around the pool (broken tiles) - not so many restaurants in this area but the restaurant also offers good food for dinner - We missed bikes, so that you can go to the supermarket quickly and don't have to borrow them for the whole day

- Breakfast buffet was quite good (avocado toast, pancakes, cheese....) - We had a room with access from the pool, which was quite convenient - Spa area is nice. We booked 2 massages. 1 was really good. The other massage started late and was shortened as a result and the masseuse was annoyed - close to a public beach

Thinking the owners are not spending much on maintenance!!! Shower head fell off the wall…maintenance should have been on top of this. Was repaired quickly. Flower bed on the balcony was over grown with weeds. I know this is picky but how hard is it to maintain this. Sitting on the balcony looking at the view through weeds…not great.

Only disgusting skim milk available with coffee at breakfast. Need a full cream milk option. There was some black mould in the shower tile grout.
