A couple of members of staff let the hotel team down and one particular lady on reception made us feel uncomfortable from the day we checked in. She was rude and just didn’t seem to want to be there which is not great for the first front facing person you see in the hotel.

The location for a hen do was just amazing. We were a few minutes to the beach - walking by shops on the way and less than that to the busy nightlife of old town!

I politely asked if there was a teabag and some milk for our room to be told no you only get that on the first night , I was only staying for two nights so had to go a bit tea bags and milk for just one night .

We missed the restaurant, i think it was neing refurbished

Great staff amazing roof area with hot tub and great views, only downside is if you don't like noise, the hotel is right on the strip, the music doesn't end till 5am, we just closed the doors and it was fine

Bed were so hard felt like I was sleeping on the floor Cleaner never swept the floor all the time we were there they changed towels wiped side that’s it

The noise of the street late in night.

Work going on in hotel, Done early, only renovations so couldn’t be helped but could have done without it

It is quite close to the centre, so you can expect to hear music in the background during the nights. They put a letter under my door every day to say they were changing the locks, but mine hasn’t changed during the week. Definitely heard other locks getting changed though so also noisy during the day.

Very nice staff, really helpful & kind people. There was a nice little balcony and the hotel is in walking distance to the beach. Also nice that they have a rooftop bar / lounging area. Reception is open 24 hours and if there is a problem you can call, very helpful and friendly people!

Very noisy, you can hear everyone coming back drunk and the music from the bars until early hours of the morning.

Central for old town and couple of minutes walk to the beach.

The hotel is far closer to the main strip of bars so music could be heard until 4am. It’s ok if you are out and having a late night but when you want to get to sleep at a reasonable time, it can be an irritation.

I have stayed here before, the room I had was great, on this occasion it wasn't so great, our room looked out on to the fire stair well view of four walls and a set of stairs.

Like the location, so close to the beach, bars, and restaurants.

The noise, the builders working on the restaurant below us, I know it has nothing to do with the hotel but they did start drilling quite early, Also as I mentioned before I have stayed here twice before, and you have to expect a bit of noise at night because of where the hotel is situated, but it was really loud this time, we bought some earplugs and it was fine Also electric plug outlets not in the best places, don't remember this being a problem on pervious stays, there was also an awful smell in the room when we arrived, wasn't u till I went to the bathroom and closed the door I noticed a plug in air freshener, I took it out and all was fine (just don't like them they make me feel quite ill)

Third time I have stayed at the Baltum, love the location, the shower was great, the rooms are basic but the beds are comfy, with nice decoration, nice to have a balcony to sit out on to watch the world go by

Room was on the small side with no balcony and the onsite restaurant was under renovation so unavailable to us.

Was very loud with bars down below and clientele staying in the hotel were loud but that's nothing to do with the hotel

Only one coffee sachet per stay, don't think this was right, it's not expensive for a sachet of coffee but that was the only complaint

There was building working going on below the hotel which we weren’t aware of during the day /morning. It didn’t disturb us too much.

Excellent location for being in the centre of Albufeira Old Town … we expected it to be a little noisy ( being on the end of bar street) but it was fine. Close to beach and all bars and restaurants Staff all friendly and helpful, excellent roof terrace with sun beds, bar and hot tub
