How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We loved everything!
We loved the location just inside the city walls. We were able to park the car in the garage and walk to restaurants and within the city. The room was exceptionally clean, very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast buffet offered good choices.

We liked everything about it.
This is an upscale hotel/spa with a host of terrific amenities. It is beautifully designed, in part built in a historic building that gives it a great atmosphere. It sits just inside the walled city, right next to the old aqueduct, which adds to the ambiance. While it isn't in the center of the old city, everything is within easy walking distance. There are numerous restaurants around, as well as an excellent one on-site. The breakfast is very complete and good. Service by staff was excellent.

The welcome was a little bit cold, almost suspicious of my arrival! Apart from that everything was excellent, again I cannot recommend the restaurant enough. There is both fine dining and casual options available.
Located just inside the walls of the old town of Evora. A perfect base to explore the town on foot, bring comfy shoes! Modern design hotel inside a traditional facade. Rooms are very spacious, high ceilings with large bathrooms. The restaurant is super, I went for the tasting menu with wine pairing, the somm and other staff were very generous with their time and the food was excellent. Breakfast is a good buffet with plenty of options. There is also a wonderful bar space with a terrace over looking the aqueduct. Wonderful setting. Parking is good and very accessible for low or bigger cars. To access parking it is the first left before the hotel as soon as you enter inside the town walls. Make sure to go here before checking in, so as not to have to do a lap of the town's oneway system. It is not a car friendly place, you will park and not use your car again unless leaving the town.

The location was very good for visiting the old town. It had a good restaurant. Room was fine for size, parking was easy and it had a lovely jacuzzi. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

The bathroom wash area and tub had an unusual configuration and required a shade to come down for privacy from the rest of the room.
The staff was helpful, and the room quite large. The hotel itself was quiet and spacious. Make sure to visit the rooftop bar. The food was very good with local wine and the view of the aqueduct. A great place to watch the sun go down before going out to dinner.

There was no hot water in our room.
The facility is very nice. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is great. The bar is wonderful. Daniel, the bartender, is especially helpful and friendly as well as an exceptional mixologist.

Not satisfied with the spa services. The massage was 10 mins shorter than stated. Also the jacuzzi was cold on the 2nd day of our stay and we could not use it. Lastly, a discount communication for women's day said "for services obtained during the month of March". I had my service on the 7th, and they said that the discount was only for "the 8th of March". The communication was not clear in that sense, so we were disappointed. For the rest, we had a good time.
We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful place. Great location!

It is a bit of a walk to get to the restaurants in the city centre.
Surprisingly interesting design- led hotel located just within the city walls. Spacious and comfortable rooms, very helpful staff. We liked it.

It was low season, but this is no excuse for spa to be so forgotten, if it is open must be maintained properly.
Big spacious room with large bad. Nice breakfast. Location in city center. Garage in the hotel. Great old town.
