I had a great stay at Hostel Árvore, it was clean and everything one needs was there, including a little kitchen with coffee machine and some snacks. I felt safe as an alone travelling woman. The city centre and the harbour was easy reachable by foot.

Room was smart, clean, cosy, the kitchen and bathroom both fine, had everything you'd need, a good honesty box system for beer, coffee etc, a nice terrace to sit out and relax, eat and drink. I came with my 6 year old daughter and we enjoyed, no issues.

What was not to like.?

I loved the hostel. It was exceptionally clean. Very comfortable. Well appointed. It has a lovely kitchen and dining room. Also a relaxing outdoor terrace. The owner ,Rui , was a most helpful host. He even provided back medication for a pulled muscle. He also took the time and trouble to ease a potential problem at the airport.Our sincere thanks to Rui. My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay. We will be back to Hostel A Casa da Arvore.

Excellent central location- easy to get to all the sights and close to everything. Communal patio and kitchen are great! Super clean bathrooms - nice to have private bathrooms for each room. Host was super helpful with recommendations and requests.

Rooms are not sound deadened, but this is impossible to solve considering the building. So as others have mentioned bring ear plugs.

Recently renovated townhouse slightly to the North of Faro. Rui is extremely helpful and wants you to have a good stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and cleaned spotlessly. There's also a convenient kitchen and courtyard to relax before you think about your day. An old world stay with an up-to-date-twist. Breakfast can be sorted from the cafe's around the corner.

Don't look any further. It's a perfect place to stay at Faro. Historical centre, shops, city centre, ferry, warehouse and many more on walking distance. The hostel is a warm welcome home when traveling. The host answers all your questions immediately and ensures that everything is neatly cleaned every day. You can also use leftovers from products left behind by guests. Practical and ecological. I stayed there for a full week with my daughter and it was the perfect base to visit Faro and the surrounding beaches and towns. Thank you very much Rui for your personal, warm approach and for the stylish decoration.

The beautiful old building is newly refurbished with lots of love for detail and authenticity. There is a really good shared kitchen, living room and terraces, everything made very nice and clean. We felt very good and welcome. The landlord Rui is such a nice guy, who really cares a lot for the well-being of his visitors.

I could only talk about having the washroom detached from the room itself. But then that is always reiterated before you make your booking. Nonetheless, it is a unique experience if you want to look at it the other way.

Impeccably clean. That is how Rui had set up our room and washroom. The rest of the hostel was neatly kept as well. He is very warm and courteous as a person.
