Always a bit of a bugbear of mine when you have to pay to park at a hotel, so bear this in mind if you stay here. In no way would it stop me staying here, as it is a great hotel, but still annoying.

Overall a good experience. Great room, and a fabulous, pub restaurant within the building. Bar was relaxing and well stocked, with huge outdoor seating area, with wonderful views

On arrival given a smoking room in the old part. This room was not up to standard of £175 for the night. It smelt awful and felt unclean. We were moved to the modern part. It was like a different hotel. This room was excellent.

No fridge in the room. Parking facilities independent of the hotel so you need to register to another service to pay for the parking.

We got the room in the newer part of the hotel and we appreciated it. It was spacious enough, bed was comfy, bathroom clean and simple. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices and there are 3 restaurants in the hotel, so you don't need to go anywhere for your evening meal, which was quite convenient, given the long weekend and that most facilities around were closed.

The restaurants. Dinner at the Italian restaurant was awful. Two menues of the list were unavailable (both involving gorgonzola cheese). The pizza I finally ordered had gorgonzola on it (4 stagioni), which means the pizza was prepacked and frozen and not freshly made! The breakfast room was overloaded with people, like everywhere in Norway. Unpleasant.

Big hotel and slightly confusing hallways to navigate. Not very engaged staff in reception but polite nonetheless.

There was nothing suitable to put a suitcase on. There was no bath mat, had to use a hand towel. I was not impressed by the hotel policy of not cleaning or making up the room if you stayed more than one night. That would definitely put me off booking a longer stay. I think the “cashless hotel” is also annoying, I did not appreciate that the use of cash payments was implied to be potentially criminal! The balcony in the room description was a french balcony, not an outside sitting area.

Breakfast was very good. Wide selection of foods. The room was a decent size. The standard of cleanliness was high.

There was a parking at the hotel and the coffee machine with a proper cappuccino although it was 1 machine for the whole hotel!!

One of the more expensive hotels we stayed in. Got lured on the new building but got a room in the old one. The room looked cluttered with different styles mashed together, not the “clean” nordic style we got used to on our trip. The dust filter in the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in ages. I could see the dust seap through its sides. We had to pay additional price for parking- I'd understand if we had to pay for parking under the roof, but we were just standing next to the river. There’s no way of escaping that, because you don’t know this when entering the property and that’s just sad. I know it’s the season, but I’d try to find another hotel next time if I could.

the hotel room was small and the decor was not very calming. The room was extremely hot, no fan or AC, had to sleep with sliding door open. the balcony was dirty and the paint was peeling off the balcony walls. The "privacy screen" on the balcony was torn and not private at all. We thought that the rooms on our floor were all non smoking, yet we had smokers next door. the smoke filtered into our room making this stay not very comfortable at all.

the location was good, easy access to get out of town.

The standard room was very outdated. It was simply the worst hotel room we ever been at. We were exhausted from a long road trip and did not see the superior room which our children used, otherwise we would have upgraded the room. It seems as if we were back to the seventies the minute we walked into it. Moreover, it was very warm even though it was cold outside. There seems to be a ventilation issue about it. It was the worst night ever.

The staff is very nice. Breakfast was ok. The location was very good. The superior room was spacious and good. Good parking.

No room safe, no storage or coffee making facilities and only rudimentary toiletries. Parking at Kr150 for a 1 night stay was a rip-off

Not allowed to eat dinner in lobby, pet needed to stay in hot room; so took dinner in another restaurant: not pet friendly. No airco in room, so very hot in room.

The fridge was not clean. Alot of noise in the hallway ( Thin walls) and not the greatest bed. ( but mom said great bed) Croissant at breakfast was hard and alot of fruit was dry. And a extra sign to find the entrance of the hotel wouldn't be bad. Had to pay for parking, 150nok/day.

Friendly personal. ( reception and at the breakfast + at the bar ) The bath, although it was small.
