Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaCool modern hotel in a great location. Lofts are "micro-apartments" with everything you need. Cozy and smartly designed! Neighborhood is near botanical garden and zoo, great for walks. Would be great for long term stays!

United StatesLocation was central for our planned activities for Amsterdam. The casual vibe in the community areas was very welcoming and relaxing. The breakfast service was excellent. The staff, kitchen staff and food quality was top notch.

SwedenA face/wash cloth and nicer towels would be my only nit pick.
The rooftop and lounge area is amazing. It's so chill and welcoming. It's hard to leave and actually see the city.

United Arab EmiratesUnfortunately this being a apartment, does not provide daily room service. And when we checked in and after settling down our stuff (my typical habit) in a rush we realized that the room cleaning was not done well, the little bin was undone and so was some other spaces in the room from previous occupants. We complaint same day, but they only cud provide service in the following day. we accepted since we were in a rush to leave fr our tour and had no time to switch rooms neither were we interested to shift to a room that was closer to pantry room. But the lady staff could not keep the promise and the following day no one attended to our room as committed. Then we spoke to a male staff who was the duty manager, and expressed sincere disappointment. After 2 nights of having to stay in a room where it was not done suitably, finally on day 3, this male staff, ensured all is done, the room was spick and span, and they left a courtesy basket for us too. As much as I appreciate their courtesy, I still couldn't not mention that this drawback and I think it is the responsibility of the management to ensure rooms are actually ready for new guests. Else the full experience is spoilt. Plus the location is very far from all attractions. Very quite, very business type hotel. So prepare for lots and lots of time or money wasted as it also does not have trams on this street.
This was a new experience in a LOFT Type room and with the roof top Bar which was very relaxing and chill vibes. Hence a decent stay overall.

IcelandLength of the stay. Because of work I could only stay for the weekend. Would have wanted to stay longer.
Amazing terrace with bar and dining area. Lovely Lofts with all utensils and accessories available. Kitchen with stove, fridge and a small freezer. Basically a small apartment to spend time away from home. Had a short weekend stay but enjoyed it so much. Staff professional, helpful and always happy. Definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

RomaniaVery hard to pick just a few, we adored our stay at Zoku! I absolutely loved the greenhouse on the top floor, leading to the most amazing terrace, coworking space and delicious restaurant. The room was perfectly organized, compact yet very comfortable, excellent location and view. We loved it. No two ways about it!

Canada$400.00 Canadian per night was very steep. Are discounts available after a minimum requirement of stay?

United StatesI believe that almost $500.00 per night is expensive for a loft. I realize Amsterdam and Europe are expensive, but one night at the hotel was as expensive as the airfare round trip from Los Angeles.
Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Tried to go beyond their required duties.

United Arab Emiratesthe cleaning is only after 3 days, it could be at least after second day, that would be great, but you can always take fresh towels yourself in a pantry room, which was quiet convenient
The room is big enough and very comfortable, big bathroom, comfortable soft bed and perfect breakfasts. So far it was my best ever hotel experience ever!

United KingdomNo real negatives…the bed itself is a bit thin mattress wise and if you don’t like using a few stairs to get into your bed or don’t like a shallow ceiling above the bed it might not be for you.
Great hotel location within a 20 min walk to the centre or 25 mins to several music and museum venues. Well connected to public transport too. The loft type rooms are great and like a mini apartment. Compact but cleverly designed with all that you need to chill or even work (if you must). Simply nicer than a traditional hotel room that is all bed! The sixth floor shared workspace and bar / dining facilities are fab and wonderful to relax in or again work in the daytime. The evening restaurant food was really good. A genuine surprise and all again very relaxed. A different concept to most hotels but would go back in a flash when next in Amsterdam!

SwitzerlandAs a single traveler, I would have appreciated a restaurant menu with regular dishes (in addition to the tapas/sharing-style dishes). Ordering sharing-style plates -while they were delicious- is just not an overly enjoyable dinner experience as a single traveler.
The rooms are incredibly well designed and offer anything you could wish for. The restaurant, breakfast and bar are designed for feeling comfortable and meeting other people. The hotel and restaurant staff are always very friendly and make you feel like they are genuinely happy for you to stay there. I would recommend Zoku to anyone traveling to Amsterdam — both for its location, but more so for being a genuinely great hotel with a uniquely welcoming vibe.
